When I take photos anywhere I really like to think about the fact that I am taking a small fragment of reality, that strange sensation of stopping time, of storing a little, just a little, of everything that fluctuates unstoppably in our environment.
Cuando hago fotos en cualquier parte, me gusta mucho pensar en el hecho de estar tomando un pequeño fragmento de la realidad, esa extraña sensación de detener el tiempo, de almacenar un poco, solo un poco, de todo eso que fluctúa imparable en nuestro entorno.
I took these photos recently, on the way to university it is one of my favorite things to observe carefully, sometimes I can't let the moment pass and I get carried away. I feel that taking a photograph involves stopping a segment, tearing it with a scalpel at the same time and possessing it without any consent. I don't know if this can be considered a theft, but if it were, it would be for me the only way to commit a crime without any remorse.
Estás fotos las hice hace poco, de camino a la universidad es de mis cosas favoritas observar con atención, a veces no puedo dejar pasar el momento y me dejo llevar. Siento que hacer una fotografía implica detener un segmento, rasgar con bisturí al tiempo y poseerlo sin consentimiento alguno, no sé si pueda esto considerarse un robo, pero si así lo fuera, sería para mí la única forma de cometer un delito sin remordimiento alguno.
I think that that moment when the shutter releases generates in our brain the same effect of an extreme sport, the adrenaline you release at that moment has to be equal to that released by someone in free fall or doing parkour at heights.
Pienso que ese instante en que él obturador acciona genera en nuestro cerebro el mismo efecto de un deporte extremo, la adrenalina que liberas en ese momento tiene que ser igual a la que libera alguien en caída libre o haciendo parkour en las alturas.
Then you simply want more of that sensation and there is no other remedy but to give freedom to the impulse.
