Hello hive! As the current anime season comes to an end, I would like to bring this story to your attention. Secrets of the Silent Witch was indeed one of my favorite picks of the season. I would describe it as a Feel-good kind of story, with humor, polished animations, and a heart-warming experience. Here I bring my thoughts after delighting myself with its first season.

La describiría como una historia que te hace sentir bien, con humor, animaciones impecables y una experiencia conmovedora. Aquí les comparto mis impresiones tras disfrutar de su primera temporada.
Matsuri Isora created this light novel called Witchi: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto back in 2020. It has then changed owners and been published in various places until an anime adaptation was sought and released this year. It tells the story in a world of knights and mages where a little girl, being so introverted and socially awkward, managed to cast spells without chanting. Considered a genius, she quickly became part of a council of great mages and was known as the silent witch. This little girl, Monica Everest, is a prodigy in math with high mana for magic casting, and shortly after the story starts, we observe her powers in action to bring down the greatest menace of humankind, dragons.

As I mentioned, the animation is high-quality. It reminded me of the impression I had of Card Captor Sakura back in the day. Spells are elaborated, and the plot makes you desire that they are displayed. This is not an action series with constant combat. Instead, we are rewarded now and then with the silent witch's actions with each introduction of a plot frame. The wait is worth the time to see Monica in action, and speeches are not only high in visual quality but also feature intricate patterns and beauty.

>Como mencioné, la animación es de alta calidad. Me recordó la impresión que tuve de Card Captor Sakura en su época. Los hechizos son elaborados y la trama te hace desear que se muestren. Esta no es una serie de acción con combates constantes. En cambio, nos vemos recompensados ocasionalmente con las acciones de la bruja silenciosa con cada introducción de una trama. La espera vale la pena para ver a Mónica en acción, y los discursos no solo son de alta calidad visual, sino que también presentan patrones intrincados y belleza.
It is also worth mentioning that I relate to Monica as an introvert. Being an introvert comes in several degrees, and sometimes it can prevent people from normally interacting with the world around them. I had severe introversion experiences, so I relate to Monica when she undergoes such moments in the story. Characters like that are a big gamble; some people might be bothered by their constant inability to speak, act, or interact. I find Monica's condition severe yet not bothersome enough to make me disengage from the story. Actually, the opposite happens; you feel rewarded every time Monica masters a situation, conquers her introversion, and gains people's favor. Yes, she brings the good-girl vibe, but I don't hate it, and it is lovely to see her develop.

>También vale la pena mencionar que me identifico con Mónica como introvertida. Ser introvertido tiene varios grados, y a veces puede impedir que las personas interactúen con normalidad con el mundo que las rodea. Tuve experiencias graves de introversión, así que me identifico con Mónica cuando atraviesa esos momentos en la historia. Personajes como ese son una gran apuesta; a algunas personas les puede molestar su constante incapacidad para hablar, actuar o interactuar. Considero que la condición de Mónica es grave, pero no lo suficientemente molesta como para desconectarme de la historia. De hecho, ocurre lo contrario; te sientes recompensado cada vez que Mónica domina una situación, supera su introversión y se gana el favor de la gente. Another charming element is the location where most of the story develops. Monica is entrusted with the task of protecting the second prince of the realm of Ridill, Felix, who attends Serendia Academy. She then enrolls again in "high school" to keep a close eye on him. We all know how well the high school formula works, and what it awakens in us. Added to that, the mystery-solving patterns we experience keep our attention. These are comprised of plots against the realm and for killing the prince.

>Otro elemento encantador es el lugar donde se desarrolla la mayor parte de la historia. A Mónica se le confía la tarea de proteger a Felix, el segundo príncipe del reino de Ridill, quien asiste a la Academia Serendia. Luego se matricula de nuevo en el instituto para vigilarlo de cerca. Todos sabemos lo bien que funciona la fórmula del instituto y lo que despierta en nosotros. Además, los patrones de resolución de misterios que experimentamos captan nuestra atención. Estos incluyen conspiraciones contra el reino y para asesinar al príncipe.
Lastly, I wanna mention, better say confess, that I listen to the intro music of this anime every time I watch an episode. I find it moving and heartwarming, just like the entire story. Not all songs from anime give you that vibe, but I would certainly support that theme at the next awards. Anyway, the song is called "Feel" and it is played by Hitsujibungaku, an alternative rock band. Here I leave you the official music video.

>Por último, quiero mencionar, mejor dicho, confesar, que escucho la música de introducción de este anime cada vez que veo un episodio. Me parece conmovedora y conmovedora, al igual que toda la historia. No todas las canciones de anime transmiten esa vibra, pero sin duda apoyaría ese tema en los próximos premios.
