Long I waited for you, my frostfire kitsune. From your trauma and loss, you rose above everything, becoming the first Void hunter in New Eridu... Oh, hello Hive! Sorry, I got lost in thoughts about my awaited acquisition of none other than Hoshimi Miyabi in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ). The moment I saw her was the one that made me try this game, but I could finally play it one version after her release. So, I waited and waited for her rerun, and after six long months, she is finally here and finally in my account. This is a post dedicated to Miyabi joining my team and my first tests with her.

Miyabi is the heir to the Hoshimi family. She is a fox thiren (thiren is the term used to describe furry characters with animal traits). Her design is inspired by the Kitsune Yokai (fox spirit) of Japanese folklore. Coming from a very tragic past, Miyabi can be perceived as cold, meticulous, and socially awkward, but as we meet her and play the story, we learn what a valuable component she is to New Eridu, Section 6, and her family and friends. Watch the video to learn more about her past. I especially liked the detail of Miyabi going through an Erabitobi (One-year-old ritual) and showing her character as a warrior picking the wooden sword.

The main aspect of her story revolves around the Demon Sword. Miyabi's mother, noticing her natural talent for combat and swords, tried to prevent her from training with this particular weapon. Something that, in the end, was inevitable. The demon sword is a family heirloom passed down in the Hoshimi family. This particular blade contains a "demon" (also believed to be a trapped ethereal monster) who provides the user power beyond imagination. IT can also consume the soul of its bearer with an intense desire to kill. In Miyabi's story, she shows the demon, called Tailess, that she is a fit bearer of his power.

After obtaining Yixuan C1, I was scared the banner pity Gods would have me lose the 50/50, but luckily I got her at the end of the pulling count. I immediately went for her weapon that gives a special blue aura around Miyabi's sword and a little on her hair. While I envisioned having her C2 in the past, that would have to wait for another rerun. Right now, I am focused on pulling for Yuzuha, a great support unit for Miyabi, who gives more value as a teammate with my kitsune than a cinema piece.

Quick Build
I pre-farmed all of her needed materials one week before the update. I rarely do this because of the chances, but I was determined to have her. I maxed her level, some skills, and placed her signature W-engine (weapon) and disk set on day one. Miyabi is built around Critical stats, especially critical rate. Through her passive, this stat converts into Anomaly mastery for ice. This is quite the opposite of regular anomaly characters who avoid crit stats for more attack and anomaly build-up/damage. Miyabi benefits from those too, but she was designed to crit anomaly reactions, making her quite unique.

Maximicé su nivel, algunas habilidades y le puse su arma distintiva W-Engine y su set de discos desde el primer día. Miyabi se basa en estadísticas críticas, especialmente en su probabilidad crítica. Test Drive
Just a couple of minutes passed before I went all in with Miyabi towards Deadly Assault. During these past six months, I have been lacking ICe damage for most challenges. Now everything changed. I combined Miyabi with Vivian, another anomaly support, and Nicole. My biggest number was reaching the special anomaly Miyabi gives called "Frostfire," which accumulates separately from ice anomaly buildup. When it reaches its peaks, a Frostburn reaction occurs. I did numbers above 200k up to 282k of damage through this method with my kitsune. I feel completely rewarded; I finally have ice damage in this game and from the best ice DPS. Pulling for Miyabi is a complete yes in the current meta still.
Overall, I feel extremely satisfied and hopeful for having Miyabi on my account and the future plans for her to max in damage. I'll be doing all this while enjoying her fast speed attacks and samurai techniques to vanquish evil. If you play ZZZ, let me know to add you as a friend!
