What's up folks. I'm hoping that the end of the weekend leaves you feeling happy and content with what you did over the course of Saturday and Sunday and that you can look back and feel no regret at having wasted it or not used the time to your best advantage - Life is there to be lived to its full extent after all and if you're not doing that you're putting yourself at a disadvantage and leaving yourself open to the possibility of feeling regret in the future. I'll not go as far as saying my weekend was spectacular but it was far from boring or uneventful. I spent some time on Saturday having some blood tests, ultrasound and X-rays which wasn't very exciting to be honest. It burned up most of my Saturday morning and some of my positive energy but I rebounded with a trip to a cafe for coffee and toasted sandwich and spent a few hours working on some writing that Hive will never see. I then hit the market to get stuff to make a chicken larb for dinner - If you have never tried this awesome Thai dish you're bonkers and not in a good way like me and my nephew! It's legit. There was enough left over for lunch Sunday which doubled the awesomeness. My girl and I have been in between TV series lately so started watching Game of Thrones again which always captures our interest; it's such a great series. We stayed up late watching that and then...never you mind what came next. Sunday was an early morning (although a late breakfast) and I watched a couple episodes from an Australian four wheel drive YouTube channel which I like and then it was off to the shops to get some stuff for my impending trip interstate for work. I hate the need to get all those little 100ml bottles of shampoo and conditioner, body wash and the like but airlines are fairly strict with their regulations so it is what it is. We went to the country and western store I love and I bought some Wrangler stuff and my girl bought a blouse/top that I think looks sensational on her and then it was home to pack for my trip. After packing, I ended up on Amazon and looked at some stuff I ~~needed~~ wanted and ended up buying it all - Somewhat naughty of me but what the hell, I work hard and deserve a little splurge now and then. Later, we made dinner and ended up snuggled up on the couch watching more Game of Thrones. Nope, not the most exciting weekend but it was enjoyable and that's what matters; for us, just being together and hanging out is enough, we don't need to be entertained all the time, we make our own fun. *** I'm here to wrap up the #weekend-engagement writing concept as featured in my ***WEEKEND EXPERIENCES*** community.
