The decision to upvote someone else's post or comment is completely, totally, unequivocally and one hundred percent each individual person's choice. There's this thing called *freedom*, and people can exercise their right to that freedom on a daily basis including in the real world and online like here on Hive and other front ends.
I'm all for freedom, I like it, I fucken like it a lot. I've fought for it and will again should it be threatened because freedom is worth the fight.

I've seen people (little whiney cunts) complaining about their loss of freedom when someone else has downvoted them - interestingly, I never see any complaints from anyone because someone has *upvoted them* - and they tend to get rather vociferous and quite incensed as well, then they rage-quit, go to Blurt...but stay on Hive whining like little whiney fuckers.
Of course, their freedom hasn't been impinged at all and neither are they censored...someone has simply exercised their right to express themselves in their own way because of their own right to the same freedom as anyone else.
> It doesn't matter which way it's argued, debated or fought over...*freedom exists and freedom extends to all.* If you think otherwise well, I can only assume you're one of those fucken flat-earth cunts who simply can't, or refuse to, see reason and logic.
Anyway, I used my freedom recently.
I used it to select what lunch I ate. To go home for my long weekend on time rather than stay back at work, to choose the gas station at which I filled my truck with diesel, I even chose to make a legit ham, cheese and seeded mustard sandwich to enjoy with my home-time coffee when I arrived at my house. Oh, I also used my freedom to issue some adjustment votes on a user who has been using his/her freedom to post many times, get rewarded and extract every cent of it out and also to *never upvote anyone else.*
> I enjoyed using my freedom. It felt good using my freedom. I will use my freedom again....because I'm free to use my freedom just the same as everyone else is free to use their freedom because freedom is free.
Anyway, I don't understand how or why someone would post daily and extract all rewards but issue *no upvotes to others*; it's selfish, arrogant, entitled and generally fucken cunty behaviour. Of course, people have the right to freedom, they are free to be selfish fucken cunts and to treat others like cunts as well. Yay for freedom.
But...what if they have a very small vote that hardly even matters to others?
Well, that's no fucken excuse; only a fucken cunt would make that an excuse.
You see, when I first started here with literally nothing but the words I wrote and a few images, it felt so awesome to get a vote *no matter how small it might be*, I didn't get all that many, but those I did get mattered to me. It made me feel like someone saw and acknowledged my post or comment and it was a great encouragement. So...I vote on other people's posts a lot and I vote on comments left on my posts as well because I want to encourage others and help sustain what we have here.
A few months ago the person I mention above commented on one of my posts and I upvoted it...but then I realised there was no vote left on my post in return by that person...it's not about the upvote of course, it's the principle of it. Yep, they have the right to act as they like because of freedom...I commented to the person that I'd noticed that they *never* voted anyone (I checked) and you know what they said to me?
Sweet fuck all. Fucken nothing. Total fucken silence.
Ok, now I'm going to keep an eye out, watch voting habits (which were none) and how readily the person extracted everything rather than offer any support at all to the community...and I did just that.
> And then freedom happened. Sweet fucken, glorious freedom. Meaning, I exercised my right to enjoy the same freedom that vote/reward farming cunt enjoys.
There's a moral to the story.

Don't be a fucken cunt.
Freedom is for everyone.
Support the community that supports you.
Play silly games, win silly prizes.
If you think you're censored here fuck off and go to Blurt with the rest of the cunts.
I don't know what the moral actually is, only that I believe no one on Hive is owed anything at all and that this place would be a terrible place if everyone acted as selfishly as the user I refer to above. Shame on those who do, *shame.* You're disgusting.
> Exercise your right to freedom, freedom is good and freedom is righteous...but don't be surprised when others exercise their own freedom also.
And just like that, this post is over. Also, if you don't like swearing you might like to not read this post - Oops, I should have said this at the beginning I suppose. Oh well, fuck it. (Because freedom!)
EDIT: If you're looking for how to find out who commented but did not vote check out this tool by @slobberchops which will isolate those who commented (probably just to gain a vote), but did not vote on it themselves: https://brynrogersthg.github.io/Slobberchops-Hive-Tools/
