Intensity

Take a look at the intensity in this chaps' face, *he must really care about where his artillery shells land I guess, to effectively kill his enemy and ensure there's no collateral damage*, like any decent artilleryman should. But that face - *Sheer determination, and intensity of focus.* Good on him! *** *** I built this Sluban artillery piece today (Sluban is a Lego copy that makes military sets because Lego won't do it.) Anyway, when I saw the look on the figures' face it reminded me of intense focus, determination and a strong will to succeed...it reminded me of myself and many others I've come across in my life. Determined, go-getters. I've been that way in my personal life and certainly in my professional life where the level of focus meant as much to me as it did to others; as a leader of men and women, a lack of focus on my part could go badly for those who were being led and that was never something I was willing to accept. I'll admit to making that face myself too, not all the time though and I had other expressions as well, unlike this laser-focused fellow. Although, I do tend to look like that a lot.   I can't attribute my success solely to one thing be it intense laser focus, learned or natural skill, ownership and discipline or any other thing; it has been a combination of all of them with a good sprinkle, (a lavish sprinkle), of failure as well; I'm ok with that because failure is the first step to success, for the smart people anyway. *** I wonder what focus others have had, you for instance; has it been easy to apply or difficult and to what areas of life has it made the greatest impact if any.
