Have you ever been kicked in the head? I have and can attest to it hurting quite a lot; it left me feeling out of sorts, headachey and worried that the few brain cells I have up there may have packed up and buggered off for good...no worries though, I still have a handful left and that's all I seem to need to live the amazingly abundant, enjoyable, meaningful and happy life I have.
Life is hard, anyone who says it's not hasn't lived enough of it or is a fucken wanker.
Things happen that hurt us emotionally and physically, things that drag us down, cause heartache and stress, depression, anxiety and angst, fear and other such things. Life is difficult and it's going to kick you in the fucken head at times, that's just how it is...unless you get kicked in the dick or pussy instead. The pain is about the same though.
When these things happen it never feels good; we don't walk around saying, I just got kicked in the dick and it felt so good.
And when things like this happen it can affect so many aspects of life, everything really, and that's when one's attitude is at risk of slipping because the thoughts we have weigh heavily...a bad attitude is always going to change our behaviours and when those change for the negative...things just get worse.
But when attitudes change for the positive behaviours change that way also and when behaviours and actions change for the better life gets better, we find greater results and that brings a momentum that, if nurtured, can see things moving along more productive paths.
I live an amazingly abundant, enjoyable, meaningful and happy life and it's for those reasons above, the thoughts, attitudes and behaviours, and that I work so hard to keep the scales weighted the right way...but life has been hard, difficult and downright fucken terrible at times too. I've worked hard at the thoughts, attitudes, behaviours thing though and it paid dividends.
I don't know how you're supposed to keep your attitude in the right place, that's for you to find out and for you to decide whether you're actually going to do the work needed to make it happen...but I know that if a person wants a better life and wants to ride out the difficult moments of life with greater ease finding the right attitude is the place to start.
