I had Sunday to myself last week, my girl-human had headed out with her cousin to see an *open-garden* an hour or so away and that meant I could do what I wanted...go for a bike ride, check out a car show, do some research on the interwebs and watch a movie.
It didn't go quite to plan.

It bucketed with rain on and off over the day and that meant no bike ride. I managed to watch the movie though, half during breakfast and half during lunch after I got back from the car show and I got the research done; I am looking at building up a new truck and have been considering and weighing up a heap of off-road accessories.
I wasn't too concerned about the bike ride not happening although I'd planned a new route which I was looking forward to adding to my Strava app. oh well, it'll have to wait over a week now as I'm travelling for work tomorrow.

The car show was pretty good, not as many cars as I'd have expected, only around 350 or so, but there were a few standouts like the 1968 Chevrolet "Golden Anniversary" C10 pickup in the images; my favourite car of the lot.
There were a lot of modern cars, Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, a McLaren, a few Lotus's and other such vehicles but it was the classic cars I was there for so walked by the other rubbish without even a glance. The new cars don't seem to have the same "soul" as the classics I think.
The C10 made me miss my favourite truck of all time, an F100, which I sold a while back and never should have parted with. We do what we do though and have to live with it right?
Anyway, it wasn't a bad sort of Sunday, moist but good, and the bike ride can always happen another day, the trail isn't going anywhere.
