Welcome to Week of the Hive Garden Question!
We've had to post a day earlier this week because tomorrow is the 1st, which is the #gardenjournal challenge! Don't miss it.

Last week's qotw generates responses that really apply to most gardeners as most often we were taught from our parents. For some, it's family livelihood and supplements their income, like @nsigo1 in Nigeria. For @multifacetas it's a reminder of her lost family who have passed. @markone85's mother too knew that a garden was about survival - even if the dad fed his mum's castor oil plant to the geese.
I love the story of @sanjeevm's father who had a Master degree in Agricultural Science, but took a job in banking, which he didn't feel as passionate about particularly as he was an honest guy. Even in dementia, he still has an instinct for gardens and feels more at peace there than the city. Read the post here.

@dreamrona also wrote a lovely post in honor of her mother:
Through her, I’ve learned that gardening is more than planting seeds on the soil it’s planting hope, love and calmness in our hearts. My mother’s garden continues to flourish and so does the wisdom she’s passed on to me.
This is a great photo of @isdarmady and his Dad too. His Dad was a bit of a legend cacao farmer and he instilled a passion for gardening in his son. They're now starting a coffee plantation as well!

These loving posts about family cheered me up a lot this week (especially that I miss my gardening Dad). Beneficiaries go to @sanjeevm and @isdarmady, but I've also dropped a tip on everyone's post of 1 HIVE as well. It's not much but I hope you know you're appreciated.
....
Of course it's Halloween this week, so we had to do a spooky themed question of the week! Even if you don't do Halloween, there's something for everyone here.
This Week's Question/s
Do you decorate your garden for Halloween? Show us. Maybe you grow giant pumpkins for the occasion? Alternatively, does your culture have garden spirits? Do you have any garden ghost stories to tell us? Do you consider yourself a garden witch? Anything 'spooky' or 'spirit' related fits the theme!
