Este árbol es el apamate al igual que el araguaney se les ve florecer los meses desde marzo hasta mayo. Sus flores son diferentes tonalidades de rosados.

Ambos árboles suelen vestir de gala las avenidas de nuestra hermosa Venezuela. Este árbol simboliza la fuerza y la belleza, y se le considera de apariencia majestuosa.
