Today i would like to share the recipe of chawal ke pakoda(rice Fritters), which is crispy & fluffy friiters made-up of soaked Rice & Urad (black gram) daal. It can be a quick and ideal snack recipe, which takes few minutes to prepared, as it crispy in texture so serve it hot, even you can try the pakodas with leftover rice too. Even it is especially enjoyed by the kids. This snacks is my favourite, you also try this snacks and let me know what is your opinion about it.

Ingredients📃


• 1 cup of Soaked Rice. • 1 cup of urad(black gram) daal. • 1 Diced Potato. • 3-4 Cloves of garlic. • 2 inch of Ginger. • 3-4 Green Chilli. • 2 tbsp of green coriander leaves. • Pinch of Asafoetida. • Pinch of Baking Soda. • Salt to taste. • Oil for frying

Rinse the rice & Urad daal to 3-4 times to remove the dirt, soaked it for Atleast 20-30 minutes. Soaking rice & daal helps to make Smooth paste.

In the mixing jar, add the soaked rice & Urad Daal. Add the diced potato, green chilli, giner & garlic. Grind it & Make a smooth paste.

Pour into the big bowl, add the green coriander leaves. Don't add too much water. The batter should be thick enough to hold its shape when dropped into the hot oil.

add the pinch of asafoetida, which helps you to easily digest the pakoda.

Add the Baking soda as it helps to make your pakodoras crispy and fluffy by creating carbon dioxide bubbles during frying, which results in an airy texture, increase the Size of your pakodoras.

Add the salt to taste, mix it well so that everything combined well. Your batter is ready to fry.

Heat the oil in the kadai/pan.

with wet hands, drop the batter into the hot oil. Repeat the process wth remaining batter. As Wet hand helps to prevent the batter from sticking.

You will notice that your size of pakoda increase instantly when you drop the battet. stir occasionally and fry on medium flame.

fry until the pakoda turns golden brown and crispy. Drain off the excess oil.

Now serve the chawal pakoda with indian dip - Green chutney & tomato sauce, enjoy it in your crispy snacks with Tea.
