I previously visited Vrindavan and had many blogs to share, but the festival season is underway in India, so I haven't been able to find time to write blogs. Vrindavan is a city in Uttar Pradesh where Lord Krishna was born and he was very famous for his love story. In my last blog I told about Prem Mandir but today I would likr to share the famous Lassi of Vrindavan. Lassi of Vrindavan is quite famous and considered one of the must-try items when visiting the holy town.

Lassi is a traditional Indian cool beverage and made from yogurt. It has a slightly tangy or sweet taste. Lassi comes in many flavors now, like mango, pineapple, cardamom, and saffron, but I like this simple one.

This shop looks small but the lassi here is very famous. Everything in Vrindavan has remained traditional, with no updates or no Fancy interior. The same simplicity has been followed by decades. This lassi shop is located near the Banke Bihari temple, so devotees enjoy lassi here after having darshan full of Vrindavan’s divine taste.

While you'll find lassi delicious wherever you drink it in Vrindavan, I'm sharing the lassi from a shop that's 80 years old and this lassi shop is running from generations to generation.

This os traditional clay cup (kulhad) filled with frothy lassi, a popular Indian yogurt-based drink which is served cool, especially enjoyed during the Summer Seasons. The top of the lassi is covered with thick foam and has a generous dollop of yellow butter(Malai) which adds creamy and Rich texture to the flavour of the Lassi. In India such type of Traditional beverages are always choose to serve in the Clay pot(kulhad), The clay cup(kulhad) enhances the earthy flavor which enhances the Traditional culture of India.

This lassi was truly delicious and creamy. As it was serve cool with Rich flavours of Yoghurt, it was little tangy and Sweet in Taste.

Have you ever had the traditional Indian lassi? If you have, let me know in the comments section how you liked it, and if you want to know the lassi recipe, let me know.

Thankyou ✨
