The NFL offseason was going to be interesting with so many quarterbacks on the market. On the same day that Tom Brady stated on social media that his career with the New England Patriots is over, the Indianapolis Colts have made a move to a new quarterback.
They announced that they are signing Phillip Rivers, who spent his career as quarterback for the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, to a one year deal. It is for a reported $25 million.
The Colts were blindsided by the surprise departure of Andrew Luck. Rivers gives the team a strong fill in until they can figure out a long term solution.
