Last week was a pretty bad week for me, financially, emotionally and even health wise. Only thing that kept me in a good mood was that all the football teams I follow won, and also I was invincible at pool the whole week.
But money wise it was a no good week and then things got a lot worse. I have been hit by T.I.A. or better said transient Ischemic Attacks over the last fifteen years, I have had after last week at least twelve of them. By the way, I hear and read news about the possibility of President Trump having suffered one of these, I seriously doubt this, in my case I get over them in a couple of hours and the only lasting effect is I get constant headaches for a while. Mr. Trump, frankly looks like something more serious hit him. Of course it could be that his job is very tough and it is taking a toll on him.
In any case last Tuesday I went to the mall and I walked back home under a very hot sun, I was on a sidewalk when it hit me, it feels like you are floating, I needed something to hang onto in order to not fall, but the only thing around was a car full of people. I might have had a minor stroke, still I was not dumb enough to hold onto that car, I don't know them, they don't know me and probably I could have gotten shot. I finally felt good enough to cross the street and hold on to a light post. After maybe ten minutes I felt good enough to walk the few blocks to my house.
I was walking in zig zag but I made it. I had my son check my blood pressure it was not so high. So I just took an acetaminophen and went to sleep. And that was that, I woke feeling great. But then on Friday, I came back home and did not feel to good, so I hung a hammock on the porch and slept for a while with a nice breeze. But then I woke up feeling worse and went to my bed. I knew it was a mini stroke again, my son took my blood pressure and it was 150/110, very high for me. And this time I felt really bad, i could not talk and my left eye felt like it was dropping, and worst of all I could not think right. I again took two pills and tried to sleep, but I could not. What finally helped me was I drank a lot of water.
It is kind of worrying to have this happen, you think a big one could hit. I actually think it is the heat that is getting to me, the temperature is apparently not that high, maybe 35 degrees Celsius, but the actual feeling is above 35. Well I will see what happens, I certainly will try to just walk in the shade and not walk too much. Whatever happens, happens.
