Hello July! Another months has gone by. We are officially half way through the year. First half of 2025 has very good for bitcoin and crypto. It seemed like we have been in a bull run, but we are yet to see an alt season. That said, alts haven't done poorly either. What has been the most impressive in June is that bitcoin maintained its price above $100k levels. Yes, there were couple of days where btc price dropped to $98k-$99k levels. It also looked like a reversal of a trend and we could see even lower prices. However, it didn't take too long for bitcoin to reclaim $100k and continue keeping the price near all time high price point. While this may not seem like a milestone, I think building confidence around $100k price as a norm is a big accomplishment. At this point regardless what happens to bitcoin's price in the future, up or down, we can say with certainty bitcoin is at least worth $100k. May made this a reality, and June has confirmed this new reality.
What many of us really have been waiting for a is an alt season. Success of bitcoin is great. It is even greater when this success is followed by a bull market in alt coins. In my opinion, this will happen when bitcoin breaks $120k price point. It is just a guess. It may or may not happen. But this seems like a good area to take profits and reinvest. Crypto market doesn't follow logic half of the time. So, all guesses are for fun and nobody really knows how things will play out.
HBD continues to be stable and USD peg has been working as intended. Hive continues to pay 15% APR to all HBD in Savings. This remains to be one of the attractive passive income offers in crypto world. While we don't see massive adoption of HBD there is a stable number of accounts who utilize this investment instrument.
