Today is the last day of the year 2024. Celebrations around the world welcoming the new 2025 is about to start. We at Hive have a lot to celebrate as well. Normally, I publish total rewards for content after the year ends. This time I decided to do so before the year ends, just as a reminder to myself and all at Hive that we have a lot to celebrate about Hive as well. Hive has been a constant part of our lives for many of us for many years. Of course, many join every day, every month, every year. And we welcome all to our Hive network, Hive family. While everything is not about money, and Hive has much more to offer than money, financial metrics are among the ones we can proudly celebrate and brag about what Hive does. Content rewards is not the only thing on Hive, and Hive definitely can power more than blogging. Content rewards, however, is something all of us can participate in and all of us are familiar with. It has become a habit of mine to publish content rewards based on communities every year. Because it is one of the accomplishments all Hive people can be proud about.
Rewarding content on Hive doesn't necessarily have to be through communities. There are some of us who just do directly on individual blog posts not associated with communities. But Hive experience is the best with communities. While the overall Hive community is awesome, more focused communities do accomplish a lot towards the same goal of decentralizing the web. There is a lot more to celebrate here at Hive. Hive empowers all around the world. It offers many solutions to traditional problems and provides solutions for shortcomings of how things done today. While as a blockchain and a decentralized network it has achieved a lot, there is still a lot more to do to attract the massive to this freedom technology. We continue to participate and we continue to celebrate each others accomplishments.

Total of $$4,314,220 were distributed in content rewards. $2,154,877 were author rewards and $2,159,343 were curation rewards. These numbers are lower than last year due to the lower prices of Hive in 2024. But things are changing and 2025 will be awesome for Hive and will be interesting to see the numbers for the next year.
