I just spent two incredible weeks training at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. I left each session feeling exhausted but also incredibly accomplished. My fitness levels soared, and I even learned a few impressive moves!
Island Hopping: A Taste of Paradise
Of course, it wasn't all about sweat and sparring! We took a much-needed break for an island hopping day trip, and it was pure magic.
We sailed on a traditional longtail boat, zipping between stunning limestone cliffs and stopping at secluded beaches with turquoise waters. Snorkeling in those clear waters, surrounded by colorful fish, was an unforgettable experience. It was the perfect contrast to our intense training, reminding us of the incredible beauty Thailand has to offer.
Beyond the Gym: Exploring Phuket
Phuket itself is a vibrant island with so much to explore. We made sure to experience some of its charm beyond the gym. We wandered through local markets, sampling delicious street food – the Pad Thai and fresh fruit shakes were my favorites!
We also visited beaches, lookout points and Temples, a truly awe-inspiring cultural landmarks offering views into the life and culture of the island. The evenings were spent enjoying fresh seafood by the beach and watching breathtaking sunsets.
