In the month of July in the year 2023, I remember paying a visit to Kaputian Beach Park which is located in the Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte. I had always heard the locals talk about the blue waters with the white silken sandy beaches, and so I felt that it was the right time for me to indulge myself in them too.

My Foremost Impression of the Beach
Right when I landed at the location, Kansas City taxi cab and also the Uber services were available, I was stunned with the picture of the sky with the blue waters fading into the white sand. There were hardly any people around with just a few swimmers and others relaxing in the shade of the trees. The warm breeze mixed with the soothing sounds of the waves made it feel like a postcard. I began to lose my stress after taking a few steps in the beach with softer sand.

Beachtime!
After swimming, I decided to go for a small walk along the sands adjoining the sea. The beach was long and I started feeling the warm soft sand beneath my feet. I also noticed shells and broken pieces of corals on the shore. The environment was so tranquil and soothing to sight.

The Photogenic “I ♥️ SAMAL”
On the list of things to do in Samal Island, don’t forget to visit the always photogenic “I ♥️ SAMAL” sign or else you'll miss what many tourists claim as one of the best activities. Considering how spectacular the Indian ocean is, it is a must take a few pictures in front of the sign. While there, I was self-assured with how stunning the Philippines is for tourism.

The Place To Unwind
Kaputian Beach Park isn’t all about beach activities, it’s a great destination to unwind as well. On the quiet, retreating area, I was able to find great shady spots, with the winds giving the perfect cooling sensation. I spent some time just sitting there, staring at warriors riding shallow boats cutting across the ocean while I listened to the thunderous marks made when the waves broke.

The Quintessential Floating Pavilion
Kaputian beach captivates its visitors with its astounding floating dock, this floating slumber pavilion stretches far into the ocean served to be an experience every visitor must try. From there, I had an unprecedented view as I could see and interact with the breathtaking coral reefs and other remarkable sea creatures My, it was like having a window to an underwater world.

How to get there
It is very simple to get to Kaputian Beach Park and that is part of the quest. By boat there are two options, either take the ferry from Sasa Wharf to Babak Port or take a passenger boat at Santa Ana Wharf straight to Kaputian. Upon reaching Samal Island, it is also possible to hire a multicab or a motorcycle (habal-habal) to take you to the park which is about 1 hour away. If you own a car, drive through the well organized roads. Ensure to check ferries for schedule, pack light, and have enough cash for any payments required.

There is lots of nature at Kaputian Beach Park, which is not limited to just the beach, and this is where you seek your peace of mind. The crystal clear water, the white sand and the entire atmosphere compliments everyone irrespective of whether they just want to relax or have more serious intentions.
