Hello everyone. Let's welcome Round 239 of the Reflection Hunters Contest hosted by @olgavita. Check out the contest post here. Take the time to read about this, if you still haven't, and join in the fun of hunting reflections.
In August of this year, my daughter and a friend visited Lake Eibsee in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It is a beautiful lake which lies at the base of Zugspitze, a mountain 2,962 meters or 9,718 feet high, making it Germany's highest mountain. Lake Eibsee is about 10 km southwest from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and 100 km southwest of Munich.
The Eibsee Lake is situated at an altitude of 973 meters in the Zugspitze and people come here specifically for the scenic hike around the lake itself. In the summer, people can swim in the emerald green water surrounded by incredible alpine nature. The lake is 35 meters at its deepest, 3.15 kilometers at its greatest length.
There are numerous forest and mountain trails which one can take as well.
According to my daughter the hike around the lake itself is 7.5 kilometers long.
They even had a chance to swim in the lake though not too long because the water was a bit cold at that time.
Here are a couple of breathtaking views of the Eibsee Lake showing it's awesome reflection on the pristine emerald waters.
The last photo is my entry to this week's Reflection Contest.
And that's about it for this post. I hope you had a wonderful time taking this awesome nature trip. I know I did. Keep safe everyone.
