Hey Hives and Welcome to another teacher diaries! Yesterday October 6, is our celebration of World Teachers day since October 5 falls on Sunday. Our Students made some program and offers gifts, flowers and letters to all of us teachers in our school.
We were kind of special that day and everyone is truly happy of the gestures and their messages. The program is not that so long and lavish but the effort of the students make it special. Since they were doing it by their own without consulting it from us or asking guidance how to do the program.

As their teacher I truly appreciated what they do. As they sing and dance and offered gifts taken from their own money thinking they were not rich but simple cards and candies made us feel we are really special.
The barangay officials also gifted us cake as a sign of appreciation in which my colleague who is teaching in our school for more than 2 decades told us that it is the first time they give to us a cake or even a simple gift.

After our class, my co-teachers had our early dinner at the restaurant to celebrate our day. We dine, drink a little and sing. We truly had fun and ended our Day.

Being a teacher is not that so easy, there are lot of challenges every day. Handling different attitude and behavior. Solving not just your own problem but also theirs. Giving not just advises and lesson but sometimes even your own finances. But still at the end of the day you are tired and drained but you also feel fulfilled and happy, serving the nation and the community that soon their lives will change same as yours, same as what your teachers did to you too. It was indeed not just a profession but a vocation.
