Hello, Hive Family! I hope everyone is having a good day, just like I am, hehe!
A big thank you to all my wonderful supporters who are always waiting for my next blog post. I am so excited to share my day with you all: October 1st, 2025.
Pilgrimage to St. Anne's Church and Spending Some Time on the Beach
It was a public holiday here in Hong Kong for the National Day celebration, so our church team organized another pilgrimage. This time, our group was much bigger! We visited St. Anne's Church in Stanley, Hong Kong. The church is absolutely beautiful, and its history is even more fascinating.
Our pilgrimage there lasted from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Since Stanley is right by the sea and has a beautiful beach, some of my church mates and I decided to head down to the water afterwards for a good time. I had even brought my swimsuit, just in case I felt like taking a dip... and yes, I did! The water was so clean and refreshing, making it a perfectly fun end to the day.
A Little History of St. Anne's Church (for Your Interest)
The story of the Catholic community in Stanley began back in 1949. For the first ten years, mass was held in a convent chapel. The building we know today as St. Anne's Church began to take shape when its cornerstone was laid on December 18, 1958 and was officially completed and opened on August 15, 1959.
It has since grown into a vibrant, international parish serving the local and expatriate community in Stanley. The church is now under the care of the Carmelite Friars, adding to its rich spiritual heritage.
I hope you enjoy the photos! Thank you for being with me on this journey.
After visiting the church we went to the beach.
