Hello Hive friends!
Today I would like to share a childhood memory about Gabi leaves, called Taro leaves in English.
Back then, it was really hard to get a real umbrella. Whenever I see these leaves now, they make me smile, reminding me of the old days. These impressive, really huge leaves were our natural umbrella! They were big enough to keep me dry in the rain, or at least protect my hair from getting wet.
I also remember that, in addition my mother would always give us plastic bags to cover our school bags when it rained, so the books inside wouldn't get wet. But we didn't own a real umbrella.
It's just nice to share these little memories from my childhood. It makes me happy that nowadays, I can provide a real umbrella for my parents. Hehe...
Just recently, I was reminded of my childhood again. It was raining, and I didn't have an umbrella with me, but I fortunately found a plant with taro leaves that offered me protection. And I share these pictures with you today!
Thank you, Taro leaves, for being a part of my wonderful childhood memories. And thank you, Hive Family, for always supporting my blog.
Godspeed and God bless always!
