11/1/25 - Eighties Music Saturday! Alternative & Pop Punk Picks With Gene & Ashlee! 🎸 Pixies & Descendents Tunes! 1987 & 1988!

Halloween is over so back to non Halloween tunes for our DailyJams on this eighties Saturday! We’ll each pick a band & album from said band and pick two songs each to share!

Ashlee picks the Pixies, this time going with the album “Doolittle” released in 1988. Starting off with “La La Love You” for DailyJam! The song is the only Pixies tune the drummer sings lead vocals, he kinda sounds like The Smiths! For BonusJam it’s the song “Gouge Away”.

I (Gene) pick the Descendents! The first “Pop Punk” band, at least the band who made bands like Blink 182 possible. Poppy catchy tunes about getting dumped or falling in love. I pick the 1987 record “ALL” which was the bands last eighties record and last before taking a 9 year break. I pick “Coolidge” for my DailyJam & the song “Cameage” as my BonusJam.
