One change to rules from original post! ⬇️
Edit- one rule change! Instead of being eliminated after your team has first loss, it will take two games lost to be eliminated. This will ensure nobody gets eliminated after one week and keep it more fun & interesting. Since we will have 8-12 players not 32 like it’s often done with we can extend this and make sure no players are out so fast. Ok back to original post!

I Will Post A Weekly Update And Detail Players Left & Eliminated Each Week!
With a few key active users leaving Hive this past year it’s not likely to fill 32 spots in a season long football pool. Instead I’m hosting a survival pool where we can still go even if not all teams are taken. Long story short each player gets a team, whoever’s team is undefeated last wins pot normally but we will instead do two lost games to be eliminated not one! It will be a raffle style method where order of picks is decided by random. Example - player who gets first pick via raffle they can pick any team outta the 16 teams who win week 1 , second person can pick any team besides the one first player took and so on. Good teams often loose a random unexpected game so it probably won’t end up with “best team” winning. I thought this could be a fun alternative since we can do it with any amount of players. Please send 10 HBD Entry to me (@geneeverett) with “NFL Survival Pool” in memo.
Secondly, since we will have obviously less than 16 total players, we are starting week 2 and will than choose teams outta the 16 winners from week 1. This is half due to how late I’ve organized this pool, but it actually works out great given we won’t have more than 16 players. Now if a really good team looses week 1. It saves some of you from an immediate elimination!
The winner will take all! There’s no second place here! The winner is the last team without a loss during the season.

One change! Instead of being eliminated after team looses a game, we will have it be two losses to be eliminated! With less than 32 players it can go quick so I thought it’s better to give everybody a one loss freebie so no elimination until team looses two games! This will ensure nobody gets eliminated first week and unlikely most players are out first few weeks so it stays fun and interesting!
If a players team looses twice they are eliminated. If there’s a tie and two players are left and both there teams loose twice with same record they will split up prize. Remember, in NFL teams get a week off so it will go by record!! If one team looses same week as another but one team already had there bye week and played an extra game, that is not a tie because they would be one game/win ahead on schedule. I will do raffle to decide order of team selection. We will again be starting post week 1 so we will have 16 teams to choose from (the winners from week 1) and after raffle we will go in order via raffle results for each player to pick a team. I explain more in vlog below ⬇️
