***Hello, happy afternoon, beautiful hivegarden community. It's a pleasure to greet you again. I've been wanting to post frequently about the activities I've been doing in the garden, but it's been a bit difficult since I've had different types of activities and haven't been able to achieve the sequence I want. However, today I want to show you this project, which I'm going to tell you about below***. ![IMG_20250312_091653.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmarMJD3sSqVBYQ2yu6EFkwQUnhz12KdoiyzNAzv1g8H4V/IMG_20250312_091653.jpg) I don't know if I've mentioned this in previous posts, but here in my city where I live in Venezuela, I work with plants. I have small nurseries at home for ornamental and succulent plants, and I have a business that I've been running for over 3 years now. So, as a result of this, I've taken on the task of reproducing some plants since it's much more economical when you take out the costs of being able to grow the plants yourself and sell them. Unlike some nursery near the one in my city, and buying the plant is much more expensive. And I think the satisfaction that comes from seeing the evolution of each of the species you are cultivating is truly satisfying. ![IMG_20250312_091701.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmebjHocHM4Gwt3XWDaQRExVyhZGtbtjaGpJ3XbGjFf3hb/IMG_20250312_091701.jpg) Well it turns out that I have been growing this plant for some time now and as you can see in the photographs we see that the leaf is a cutting that comes off the stem of the plant and there we can see the evolution of the new plant in growth as a result of this we see like a potato or commonly called a bulb that comes out from the root this bulb is characterized by storing water inside and this allows the plant to have the characteristic of succulents since it can feed itself and go a long time without receiving the liquid such as the vital water for the growth of plants. ![IMG_20250312_091707.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmaDQ9KTx9zDT27THyUGj2w2HW3rXThd3rbi9LBPog4y5K/IMG_20250312_091707.jpg) That is why the zamioculca is part of the succulent family, in addition to its thick stem and instead of leaves they are also a little thick, here we can see the result of the cultivation and the success that I have achieved with this plant, it reproduces through cuttings and also by separating branches by placing them in water and after a certain time it will put out new roots and we can place it in the ground and it will begin to grow in the best way. ![IMG_20250312_091711.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmPBtML2dvwYUeF9PaWuNMVRuREe7YLBk9ooCjdu3Wh44g/IMG_20250312_091711.jpg) A little later in our post, I'll tell you about the new shoots I've been working on these days, and I've seen excellent progress. I'll also tell you a little about the substrate used to ensure good plant growth and monitor its development. ![IMG_20250522_113320.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmQAohQSnxUpfE2AeY4u1bgCP41jFShSY4SFosRf91XnfL/IMG_20250522_113320.jpg) It is a pleasure for me to share with you and if you have this species in your home or in your country or any other similar one, I would like to know if you leave it here in the comments since that way I learn about new species.
