Happy afternoon and blessings to all of you in this lovely garden community. I am delighted to be with you, as like many of you who are here, we publish because we like plants, the garden, and everything related to this area. I really like growing ornamental and succulent plants. So I will show you a little of the work that has been done these days, why I do it, and what benefits I hope to gain from doing this in my garden. ![IMG_20250623_110425.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmV2mEhqsAGUgt1hE16BYd4NChUs1c55cbdbPnoa4pwVFT/IMG_20250623_110425.jpg) For some time before the pandemic, I have been growing specifically succulent plants, those that are fleshy, thick, and store water inside, allowing them to spend prolonged periods of drought and be able to feed back and survive in the best way possible. These types of plants spread very, very quickly, and when we give them proper care, they reward us with their growth and their beautiful colors. ![IMG_20250804_184324.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmPCveAxNiY1AYLLhEvKznhicdfCfnZ9tPkhv25gFyUDX1/IMG_20250804_184324.jpg) This opportunity prompted me to prepare a substrate consisting of a mixture of the following elements: ### Black Soil ### Rice Husk ### Aliven ### Perlite Grade 1 ### Worm Fertilizer By combining all these elements, I will have a good substrate that will allow me to achieve good drainage when watering, as this will keep my plants in tip-top shape. ![IMG_20250804_184324.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmPCveAxNiY1AYLLhEvKznhicdfCfnZ9tPkhv25gFyUDX1/IMG_20250804_184324.jpg) Once I have these elements, I mix them, I prepare them and I do what is the fist test to see if the substrate is compact, which consists of placing already prepared soil in the hand, pressing if it comes out loose the substrate is perfect and that is what we want to achieve. After applying this type of technique here and now I have my substrate prepared, I proceed to plant all the seedlings. I regularly varied the size of the pots, whether number 5, 7 or 10 is the appropriate size for when they are plants that are growing and that is the number of pots we used. Here I placed each of them with enough substrate by opening the little hole and I planted it. ![IMG_20250804_184321.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmPeGZyrKhzR59UHNk6p8UVLXS4JMREoXAaWktSK5AcVoc/IMG_20250804_184321.jpg) After having separated it and planted them, I place them in what is the part of the nursery when the plants are by those roots and there I leave it for a few days after planting it, two days later I apply the first irrigation and I do this to avoid that at the time of planting it if there is any wound if I put water on it instantly it can cause bacteria or the death of the plant, that is why it is considered to leave it or at least I do it like this A couple of days to apply the first irrigation. I hope you enjoyed this soft-touch project, as it was one of my first prints. So I’m going to show you some of the other great recipes I have here, which I know you’ll love. Thank you so much for reading what I’m writing and for being a part of this vibrant community that I know we all love.
