It’s right about this time of year, when the shortest month starts to feel like the longest- and I’m ready to say goodbye to the cold, and the ice, and the shoveling, and the driving in blizzards. Sadly, Winter doesn’t ever say goodbye in return. The season, like a bad haircut, keeps growing, and we’re left to make the best of it, no matter the conditions, even if we look like sh$t, just gotta keep wearing a stocking hat.
So instead of complaining about it and/or lumbering indoors in a slow semi conscious hibernated state- I decided to do some outdoor winter activities.
Round one: Me vs Ice:
I think I got on top this sport. It’s like rock climbing but colder with sharp things…

Ice climbing is a Great way to get outdoors when it’s cold, but no sub freezing- unless you’re into that, growing icicles off the face thing.
*I’ve been told Minnesota has two of the three farmed ice flows in the country. Luck is me to have them both within a few hrs drive of the Twin Cities.
Victory is ours!
& away we retire after a long day to a cozy welcoming warm Airbnb.
