It has been a very long time since I posted anything on this profile. Life has been busy and so many things have happened in the past two years. My life is eventually more settled and now I finally have time to write again. Writing has always been my go-to activity because I can express myself better when writing.
During the last two years I have moved a total of three times and I even worked away from my husband for a while.
When I lost my online position due to student numbers I lost a part of myself. I gave my everything and missed so much of "life" while I was working online. My husband was already working nearly 900 kilometers away from me so I decided to go find a job in a different town close to my husband.
By the grace of God I found a position and I was so happy! Unfortunately the owner of the school developed financial issues and couldn't pay us anymore. I had to make a plan quickly.
I phoned a friend from my previous school and she offered me a position. The only problem was that this school was about three hours away from my husband.
I decided to take the plunge and started there in January 2024. I knew a lot of people there and I fit right in. My husband and I traveled weekly to see each other. I came to visit him once a week and the next weekend he came to visit me. It worked well for a few months but the traveling was just too much and I decided to find a closer position.
During the time away from my husband I must be honest to say that it gave me time to work through a few emotional issues I had because of the way that I was treated by my online school and it gave me a much better perspective on my life.
I am now teaching again at a wonderful private school close to home and we are more settled than we have been in a while.
I still do not like the area where we live but at least I am with my husband now and we see each other daily instead of twice a month.
