Desde que inició el año mi hermana y yo teníamos la ilusión de irnos de viaje, específicamente a Choroní, en el estado Aragua. Pero, no terminábamos de dar el paso a los preparativos porque sabíamos que sería costoso y teníamos otras prioridades, así que pasaron algunos meses y no fue sino hasta que una semana antes del viaje, el amigo de mi hermana nos indicó que consiguió la posada y ya había reservado, por lo que teníamos que movernos a comprar los pasajes y todo lo que hiciera falta.
Since the beginning of the year, my sister and I had been looking forward to going on a trip, specifically to Choroní, in the state of Aragua. However, we couldn't quite take the plunge and start making preparations because we knew it would be expensive and we had other priorities. So, a few months went by, and it wasn't until a week before the trip that my sister's friend told us he had found a place to stay and had already made the reservation, so we had to hurry up and buy the tickets and everything else we needed.

El viaje de ida y vuelta fue un desastre, por lo que hubiera deseado tener carro propio, pero bueno, por lo menos llegamos a salvo. Lo que deben de tener en cuenta es que para subir a Choroní el camino es bastante peligroso porque hay demasiadas curvas y es bastante estrecho, por lo que es mejor ir con alguien que ya conozca la vía o ser extremadamente cuidadoso. Ahora bien, llegamos al pueblo y luego a la posada (que estaba a sólo unos minutos del malecón). Y lo increíble es que gastamos mas en los pasajes que en la estadía ajjajaja, cabe destacar , que como nuestro presupuesto no era tan alto optamos por comer en la posada (que tenía el área para cocinar), y no nos volvimos locos comprando cosas en la calle.
The round trip was a disaster, so I wish I had my own car, but hey, at least we got there safely. What you need to keep in mind is that the road up to Choroní is quite dangerous because there are too many curves and it is quite narrow, so it is best to go with someone who already knows the way or be extremely careful. Anyway, we arrived at the town and then at the inn (which was only a few minutes from the boardwalk). And the incredible thing is that we spent more on the tickets than on the stay, ha ha ha. It should be noted that since our budget wasn't that high, we chose to eat at the inn (which had a cooking area) and didn't go crazy buying things on the street.

Por otro lado, el pueblo me pareció muy bonito y colorido, habían muchísimos murales, la gente es amable, las playas son simplemente espectaculares (aunque esos días el mar estaba bastante agitado y casi me muero con una ola que me arrastró jajaja). La vista desde el mirador es preciosa, el malecón de noche es genial y más cuando salimos a ver el amanecer a las 5 am. Me sorprendieron los precios, y es que yo esperaba que por ser un lugar turístico estuvieran por los cielos, pero todo estaba casi igual que en la ciudad, lo nos permitió adaptar nuestro presupuesto.
On the other hand, I found the town very beautiful and colorful, there were lots of murals, the people are friendly, the beaches are simply spectacular (although the sea was quite rough those days and I almost died when a wave swept me away, ha ha ha). The view from the lookout point is beautiful, the boardwalk at night is great, and even more so when we went out to see the sunrise at 5 a.m. I was surprised by the prices, as I expected them to be sky-high because it's a tourist spot, but everything was almost the same as in the city, which allowed us to stick to our budget.

Mi experiencia fue un 10/10, quedé enamorada del lugar. En la posada que nos quedamos, el chico nos trató increíble y lo mejor es que fue bastante accesible, y por si quieren ir y no saben dónde quedarse, el lugar se llama poseidón y calipso. Lo disfrutamos al máximo, y lo que menos hicimos fue quedarnos en casa, sino que salíamos temprano, nos ibamos a cambiar para volver a salir en la noche y pasear el pueblo, e incluso hasta el último día nos fuimos tempranito a la playa para luego retornar. Lo único negativo sería el hecho de que hay muchos perritos callejeros en el pueblo y es un poco triste verlos a todos en una mala condición. My experience was a 10/10, I fell in love with the place. At the inn where we stayed, the guy treated us incredibly well and the best thing is that he was very approachable. If you want to go and don't know where to stay, the place is called Poseidon and Calypso. We enjoyed it to the fullest, and the least we did was stay at home. Instead, we would leave early, go get changed to go out again at night and walk around town, and even on the last day, we left early for the beach and then returned. The only negative thing would be the fact that there are many stray dogs in the village, and it is a bit sad to see them all in poor condition.
