Hello to all Splinterlands friends !!!
I have been playing for several days in the new Ranked format of our platform, namely Frontier, where only Foundations cards can be used, and the start was a bit tough, yes because, as I have also read in many other posts from various players, winning is not that easy, and it is easy to get discouraged if you receive one defeat after another.
After all, Foundations cards are relatively few compared to the normal card editions, however if you carefully study which are the most successful teams, then you just need to take notes, and reaching 15 victories to get the 3 daily Rewards is not that difficult after all.
But today, I noticed something new in the Frontier format Rewards, namely that each Reward now gives a Frontier Entry, and by clicking the Reward Info button, I understood what it was about.

Every week, there will be a Frontier Draw, a lottery in which 76 randomly selected players will win random cards from the Foundations edition, in Gold Foil Arcane, Black Foil and Black Foil Arcane format, and each Frontier Entry equals one ticket to participate in the draw.
There are about 5 days left until the first historic draw, but as always the competition is very high, and the total number of Entries has already widely exceeded 1000.
Anyway, it seems like a fairly popular lottery and accessible to everyone, even those with a lot of money cannot increase their chances of winning too much, although Foundations cards are already on sale in the market, so buying them can help you upgrade them and have an advantage on the battlefield.

Here, in this battle at this LINK, you can see one of the most used formations in the Frontier format, and indeed, both my opponent and I used it.
It is about exploiting the synergy between the Death element archon named Thalgrimore, the Nim Guard Captain card in first position, and the Little Sister and Sorrow Harvester cards in the backline.
By doing so, as a Tank we have a card with the Void ability, which takes 50% less damage from magic attacks, and in the backline we have a card like Little Sister with her Leech ability, and Nim Guard Captain whose Weaken ability inflicts -1 Max Health to all enemies, which adds to the -1 Health debuff from the archon Thalgrimore.
At least for now, this is one of the most popular setups, because it works great against many teams, when opponents already start with less Health, and magic attacks are less effective against the Tank, it is often a winning choice, although it cannot work every time.
Moreover, with the introduction of new cards, and the buying, selling, and upgrading of the existing ones, I am sure that the balance on the field will change, and we will see new types of teams achieving even more success.
I really hope to be able to get all 3 daily rewards until the day of the draw, so I can collect a good number of cards, and finally make my first upgrades, while also increasing my chances of winning something in the Frontier Draw, which is proving to be an excellent promotional activity to encourage more and more users to play daily in the Frontier format.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!
Sono vari giorni che sto giocando nel nuovo formato Ranked della nostra piattaforma, ovvero quella Frontier, in cui si possono usare solamente le carte Foundations, e, l'inizio è stato un po' difficile: sì perchè, come ho letto anche in molto altri post di vari giocatori, vincere non è facilissimo, ed e facile scoraggiarsi se si riceve una sconfitta dopo l'altra.
Infondo , le carte Foundations sono relativamente poche rispetto alle normale edizioni di carte, , però se uno studio attentamente quali sono le squadre più vincenti, allora basta prendere appunti, ed arrivare alle 15 vittorie per conquistare le 3 Rewards giornaliere non è poi così difficile !
Ma oggi, ho notato una novità nelle Rewards del formato Frontier, ovvero che ad ogni Reward viene data una Frontier Entry, e cliccando il tasto Reward Info, ho capito di cosa si trattava.

Ogni settimana , ci sarà una Frontier Draw, una lotteria in cui saranno estratti a sorte 76 giocatori che vinceranno delle carte random, dell'edizione Foundations, di formato Gold Foil Arcane, Black Foil e Black Foil Arcane, e ogni Frontier Entry equivale ad un biglietto per partecipare all'estrazione.
Mancano circa 5 giorni alla prima storica estrazione, ma come sempre la competizione è molto alta, e il numero di Entries totale ha già superano ampiamento i 1000.
Comunque sembra una lotteria abbastanza popolare e alla portata di tutti, anche chi dispone di tanti soldi non può aumentare le sue chances di vincere più di tanto, anche se le carte Foundations sono già in vendita sul mercato, quindi acquistarle può aiutarti a potenziarle e ad avere un vantaggio sul campo di battaglia.

Ecco, in questa mia battaglia a questo LINK , potete vedere una delle formazione che va per la maggiore nel formato Frontier, e che , infatti, abbiamo usato sia io che il mio avversario.
Si tratta infatti di sfruttare la sinergia tra l'archon dell'elemento Death di nome Thalgrimore, la carta Nim Guard Captain in prima posizione, e le carte Little Sister e Sorrow Harvester nelle retrovie.
Così facendo come Tank abbiamo una carta con l'abilità Void, che riceve 50% in meno di danno dagli attacchi magici, e nelle retrovie abbiamo un carta come Little Sister, con la sua abilità Leech, e Nim Guard Captain, la cui abilità Weaken,infligge -1 di Max Health a tutti i nemici, si va a sommare al debuff di -1 in Health dell'archon Thalgrimore.
Almeno per adesso, questa risulta una delle configurazioni più gettonate, perchè funziona alla grande contro molte squadre, quando gli avversari si trovano già con meno Health in partenza, e con gli attacchi magici che hanno poca efficacia contro il Tank, risulta una scelta spesso vincente, anche se non può funzionare tutte le volte.
Inoltre, con l'introduzione di nuove carte, e la compravendita e il potenziamento di quelle che ci sono già, sono sicuro che cambieranno gli equilibri in campo, e vedremo nuovi tipi di squadra avere ancora più successo.
Spero vivamente di riuscire a conquistare tutti i 3 rewards giornalieri fino al giorno dell'estrazione, così posso collezionare un bel numero di carte, e finalmente fare miei primi potenziamenti, ma aumentando così anche le mie possibilità di vincere qualcosa nella Frontier Draw, che si sta rivelando un'ottima attività promozionale per convincere sempre più utenti a giocare quotidianamente nel formato Frontier.
