Hello Splinterlands friends !!!
Every edition of Splinterlands brings a wave of new features, with powerful cards and captivating designs that capture the attention of both players and the market. Often, the spotlight is on legendary or epic cards, considered right away as the highlights of the set, but we must not make the mistake of underestimating the humbler cards, such as Rare and Common. It is precisely them, commons and rares, that often hide the real surprises. The theme of this week’s Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge, “Unsung Heroes”, invites us to look beyond appearances and recognize those cards that, even if they are not at the center of market speculation, can change the outcome of a match with their silent but decisive presence.
In the past edition Rebellion, for example, we witnessed the rise of some initially overlooked cards that managed to carve out a fundamental role in the strategies of many players. Just think of Endless Ape, a common card that surprised everyone with its resilience as a Tank in Earth lineups, cheap to deploy, but able to capitalize on Health points thanks to its Scavenger ability.
Or the unexpected use of Ulundin Overseer, a neutral card without attack, which many would have dismissed as “useless” at first glance. Yet, its ability to absorb blows on the frontline made it a defensive pillar in many battles, protecting the rest of the team and paving the way for surprising victories.
These are the true unsung heroes of Splinterlands, cards that teach us to look beyond rarity and discover the hidden value in the most unexpected choices.
And today we talk about a card from the new edition Conclave Arcana, very underestimated by the market, with a very low price of only $0.028 per BCX, which makes this monster extremely easy to level up, something that many players are already doing. In fact, I often come across this card now, a sign that more and more players are realizing its potential.
I am talking about the common card of the Death element and the Bloodline Elf, named Silverleaf Warlock.
For the cost of 6 Mana, at level 1 it is quite harmless, having no ability, although its 2 points of Magic attack begin to make a difference. It starts a bit weak in defense, with only 4 Health and 0 Armor.
But it is at level 2 that it starts to get interesting, because it gains the Swiftness ability, which grants +1 Speed to all your teammates.
This is a feature that completely changes the course of the match, because by increasing the Speed of your monsters, you get the huge advantage of attacking first each Round, with the possibility of striking heavy blows on your opponents and, why not, maybe knocking some of them out right from the start.

In this low Mana Cap challenge, only 25, and no ruleset, I still decided to choose my favorite archon, Lorkus, even if it costs 7 Mana Cap, saving on the Tank by choosing Halfling Refugee which costs only 1 Mana, followed by Gramel The Hunger, Silverleaf Warlock, and finally Elanor Bravefoot.
My opponent, on the other hand, chose a cheaper archon, namely Chuul Jujinchi, with a very heavy tank, Leolin Sifu, followed by Meriput Magician and Arcane Skinwalker.
This match is just one example of the great advantage given by the Swiftness ability of Silverleaf Warlock. In fact, 3 of my 4 monsters managed to reach 4 Speed, and so they had the right to strike first, a huge advantage considering that cards like Gramel The Hunger have 3 attacks. Therefore, I unleashed a total of 5 very heavy attacks at the beginning of the first Round, and needless to say, the opposing team was devastated.
I am sure, Silverleaf Warlock is one of the still underestimated cards, but it will be one of the most used, even in the future with the arrival of new editions.
For such a low price, it is worth stocking up and leveling it as much as possible !!!

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!
Ogni edizione di Splinterlands porta con sé una ventata di novità, con carte potenti e design accattivanti che catalizzano l’attenzione dei giocatori e del mercato. Spesso i riflettori sono puntati sulle leggendarie o sulle epiche, considerate sin da subito i pezzi forti del set, ma non bisogna commettere l’errore di sottovalutare le carte più umili, come le Rare e Common. Sono proprio loro, comuni e rare, a nascondere spesso le vere sorprese. Il tema del Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge di questa settimana, “Unsung Heroes”, ci invita a guardare oltre le apparenze e a riconoscere quelle carte che, pur non essendo al centro delle speculazioni di mercato, riescono a cambiare le sorti di una partita con la loro presenza silenziosa ma decisiva.
Nella passata edizione Rebellion, per esempio, abbiamo assistito all’ascesa di alcune carte inizialmente trascurate che hanno saputo ritagliarsi un ruolo fondamentale nelle strategie di moltissimi giocatori. Basti pensare a Endless Ape, carta comune che ha stupito tutti per la sua resistenza in posizione di Tank nelle formazioni Earth: economica da schierare, ma capace di capitalizzare punti Health grazie alla sua abilità Scavnger.
Oppure l’inaspettato impiego di Ulundin Overseer, una carta neutrale senza attacco, che molti avrebbero liquidato come “inutile” al primo sguardo. Eppure, la sua capacità di assorbire colpi in prima linea lo ha reso un pilastro difensivo in numerose battaglie, garantendo protezione al resto della squadra e aprendo la strada a vittorie sorprendenti.
Questi sono i veri eroi non celebrati di Splinterlands: carte che insegnano a guardare oltre la rarità e a scoprire il valore nascosto nelle scelte più inaspettate.

E oggi parliamo di una carta della nuova edizione Conclave Arcana, molto sottovalutata dal mercato, con una quotazione bassissima di soli 0,028 $ per BCX, il che rende questo mostro estremamente facile da potenziare, cosa che stanno facendo in parecchi, infatti è una carta che inizio ad incontrare spesso, sintomo che sempre più giocatori si stanno accorgendo delle sue potenzialità.

Sto parlando della carta comune dell'elemento Death e della Bloodline Elf, di nome Silverleaf Warlock.
Per il costo di 6 Mana, al primo livello è abbastanza innocuo, non avendo abilità, anche se i suoi 2 punti di attacco Magic si iniziano a far sentire, parte un po' debole nel comparto difensivo, con solo 4 di Health e 0 di Armor.
Ma è al livello che inizia a diventare interessante, perchè guadagna l'abilità Swiftness, che regala +1 in Speed a tutti i propri compagni di squadra.
Questa è una caratteristica che cambia completamente le sorti della partita, perchè aumentando lo Speed dei propri mostri, abbiamo la possibilità di avere il grande vantaggio di attaccare per primi ogni Round, con la possibilità di sferrare dei colpi pesanti agli avversari e, perchè no, magari mandarne qualcuno al tappeto fin dall'inizio.

Questa partita è solo un esempio del grande vantaggio che dona l'abilità Swiftness di Silverleaf Warlock, infatti, 3 dei miei 4 mostri hanno avuto la possibilità di passare a ben 4 di Speed, e così hanno avuto il diritto di colpire per primi, un grandissimo vantaggio calcolando che carte come Gramel The Hunger hanno 3 attacchi, quindi ho piazzato un totale di ben 5 attacchi pesantissimi, allo scoccare del primo Round, ed è inutile dire che la squadra avversaria ne è uscita distrutta.
Ne sono sicuro, Silverleaf Warlock è una delle carte ancora sottovalutate , ma che sarà una delle più usata, anche in futuro con l'arrivo di nuove edizioni.
Per un prezzo così basso, conviene farne scorta e potenziarlo il più possibile!!!
