It is truly a complicated moment for the crypto world. In recent days we have witnessed a strong overall decline, Bitcoin, after weeks of bearish pressure, is struggling to stay above the psychological threshold of $100,000, in a negative trend that has now lasted for about a month. And when the leading market stumbles, inevitably the entire ecosystem feels the impact.
Unfortunately, the situation is no different for Hive, the blockchain that powers Splinterlands. Its price continues to hover dangerously around $0.10, a value that heavily affects the profits generated within the platform. Less value for Hive also means less real liquidity to reinvest in the game, buy cards, or support new growth strategies.
Despite this far from encouraging scenario, Splinterlands is showing a certain degree of resilience. The DEC token, the heart of the game’s internal economy, is still managing to stay in positive territory, with about +3% over the past week. A small but significant note of optimism. On the other hand, the other main token, SPS, shows a slight decline of around -3% for the week, in line with the overall trend of the crypto market.
However, as often happens in the world of crypto and blockchain gaming, these difficult moments can also represent opportunities for those who remain calm and look at the long term. Splinterlands, with its solid community and well-structured ecosystem, continues to be a project worth keeping an eye on, even in turbulent times.
But let’s try to stay positive and analyze one of the new reward cards from the Conclave Arcana edition.

Gravebrand Warlock, a rare Death element card from the Canisan bloodline, at level 1 offers 5 Health, 1 Speed, and 3 Magic, with no abilities, for a cost of 8 mana.
At level 2 it gains the Swiftness ability, which is a real boon for the entire team, then later adds the new Execute ability, and at the final level, it gains Soul Siphon.
Right away, its magic attack stands out as a strong point, which is very positive in Death teams that often specialize in this type of attack.
The market does not seem to value this card much, as today’s price is around $0.16, likely because, being a reward card, many players hope to find it in Loot Chests without spending a cent.

In this 58 Mana Cap battle with the Lost Legendaries ruleset, where I couldn’t choose many of my favorite cards, I still opted for the archon Lorkus, placing Ulundin Overseer in the Tank position, followed by Umbral Elemental, Infernal Firestorm, Grove Doomblade, Gravebrand Warlock, and finally Ferrous Brewer.
My opponent, on the other hand, relied on the archon Marlai Singariel, with Commander Slade in first position, followed by Warborn Shaman, Torrent Sniper, Mindless Thrall, Surgeblade, and Abyssal Elemental.

In this battle, we saw many new reward monsters, which are starting to be used more and more as players experiment and begin to understand which ones perform best.
My opponent’s strategy was to build a team with boosted magic attacks, thanks to the +1 bonus from their archon, but my monsters held up quite well, even though it came down to a 3 versus 2 by round 5.
Gravebrand Warlock performed very well, but that was also thanks to the Life Leech and Affliction abilities granted by Lorkus, otherwise, it remains a rather fragile card in terms of defensive stats, which should be kept in the backline.
It starts to become an interesting card at level 4, where it finally gains two abilities, Swiftness and Execute, making it a great teammate to consider when building your team, especially in matches with rulesets like the one in this post, where we have restrictions such as Lost Legendaries that prevent us from choosing much stronger cards.

È un momento davvero complicato per il mondo crypto. Negli ultimi giorni abbiamo assistito a un forte calo generalizzato: Bitcoin, dopo settimane di pressioni ribassiste, sta lottando con fatica per mantenersi sopra la soglia psicologica dei 100.000 $, in un trend negativo che ormai dura da circa un mese. E quando il mercato guida vacilla, inevitabilmente anche tutto il resto dell’ecosistema ne risente.
Purtroppo, la situazione non è diversa per Hive, la blockchain su cui si poggia Splinterlands. La sua quotazione continua a muoversi pericolosamente intorno agli 0,10 $, un valore che pesa non poco sui profitti generati all’interno della piattaforma. Meno valore per Hive, infatti, significa anche meno liquidità reale per reinvestire nel gioco, acquistare carte o sostenere nuove strategie di crescita.
Nonostante questo scenario tutt’altro che incoraggiante, Splinterlands sta mostrando una certa capacità di resistenza. Il token DEC , cuore dell’economia interna del gioco, riesce per ora a mantenersi in territorio positivo, con un +3% circa nell’ultima settimana. Una piccola ma significativa nota di ottimismo. Diverso, invece, l’andamento dell’altro token principale, l’SPS, che registra un lieve calo intorno al -3% settimanale, in linea con la generale tendenza del mercato crypto.
Tuttavia, come spesso accade nel mondo delle crypto e del gaming su blockchain, questi momenti di difficoltà possono anche rappresentare opportunità per chi sa restare lucido e guardare al lungo periodo. Splinterlands, con la sua community solida e il suo ecosistema ben strutturato, continua a essere un progetto da tenere d’occhio anche in tempi turbolenti.
Ma cerchiamo di restare positivi, ed andiamo ad analizzare una delle nuove carte rewards dell'edizione Conclave Arcana.

Grevebrand Warlock: carta rara dell'elemento Death e della bloodline Canisan, al primo livello offre 5 di Health, 1 di Speed e 3 di Magic, e nessuna abilità per il costo di 8 mana.
Al secondo livello ottiene l'abilità Swiftness, che è un vero toccasana per tutta la squadra, a cui poi si aggiunge la nuova abilità Execute, e all'ultimo livello, si ottiene la nuova Soul Siphon.
Subito salta all'occhio che il suo attacco magico è un punto di forza, e questo è molto positivo in squadre del gruppo Death che spesso si specializzano su questo tipo di attacco.
Il mercato non ha una grande considerazione di questa carta, infatti la quotazione di oggi si avvicina ai 0,16 $, data anche dal fatto che, essendo una carta reward, molti sperano di trovarla nelle Loot Chests senza dover spendere un centesimo.

In questa sfida si sono visti tanti nuovi mostri rewards, che iniziano ad essere sempre più usati, mano a mano che i giocatori sperimentano e iniziano a capire quali sono i più performanti.
La strategia del mio avversario era quella di fare una squadra con attacchi magici potenziati dal +1 del proprio archon, ma i miei mostri hanno retto abbastanza, bene, anche se si è arrivati al round 5 con un 3 contro 2.
Gravebrand Warlock si è comportato molto bene, ma grazie anche alle abilità Life Leech e Affliction che gli ha donato Lorkus, altrimenti rimane una carta molto delicata al livello di stats difensive, che va preservato nelle retrovie.
Inizia a diventare una carta interessante al livello 4 , dove finalmente raggiunge due abilità, Swiftness e Execute, che lo rendono ottimo compagno di squadra da tenere in considerazione durante la scelta del proprio team, soprattutto in sfide con rulesets, come quella di questo post, in cui abbiamo limitazioni imposte come Lost Legendaries che ci preclude la scelta di carte molto più forti.
