Hello everyone friends of Splinterlands !!!
In the past few months I have been patiently building my Conclave Arcana card collection, carefully choosing those that I really need on the battlefield, which also helps me to be more competitive in the Conflicts.
After spending quite a lot of time playing and experimenting with this new edition, I have gained a good amount of experience that helps me better understand which cards fit my style and which ones are more marginal. The interesting part is that I am not only expanding the collection, but I am also investing in upgrading some cards, with special attention to the Archons, which I find essential to make my summons increasingly effective and competitive. The idea of bringing enhanced versions of my favorite cards into play motivates me to keep growing and to plan the next steps with foresight.
However, there is another temptation hovering over my head these days, the new exclusive card Dar ‘GOTTEM’ Gearnut. Its cost of 1050 Vouchers, equal to about 165 Hive, makes it out of my reach for now, at least if purchased directly through the official channel. On the card market though, the same card is already available at a much more affordable price, around $21.38, a really remarkable difference. This makes me wonder whether to take advantage of the opportunity right away or wait a bit longer, hoping the price will drop further. For now the decision remains pending, but the temptation is strong.
But let’s take a look, in the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, at a more humble CA card, but one that can still be very useful !

Steppe Stalker: common Water element card, from the Orc Bloodline, with a cost of 7 mana, at level 1 it offers 2 Ranged and Speed, 1 Armor and 4 Health, and the Close Range ability, which allows it to be used even in the Tank position.
At level 3 it also gains the Slow ability, which we older players know well because it was a special feature of the Creeping Ooze card, very popular years ago.
At level 5 it gains the new Painforge ability, and at the last level it gets Shield.
It is a super cheap card, with a price fluctuating around $0.03, but in my opinion it can still offer a lot.

This was a battle between 2 Water element teams, without rulesets, and with a medium-low Mana Cap of 33 that still allowed us to deploy some good cards.
After choosing the new CA archon named Gorgug The Endless, I was finally able to try my gold version of Zargrul in the tank position, followed by Warwall Juggernaut, Steppe Stalker, Night Stalker, Elanor Bravefoot, and finally Halfling Refugee.
My opponent, instead, selected the archon Marlai Singariel, placing the powerful Commander Slade in first position, followed by Chaos Adjutant, Shock Trooper and Chaos Battle Mage.

My opponent wisely decided to take advantage of the +1 Magic granted by his archon, forming a team with very high attack potential, with his Shock Trooper even reaching 5 Magic attack.
But I was certainly not standing by, in fact, by using the Bloodline system, I fielded a true Orc formation, with 3 monsters on the battlefield, namely Zargrul, Steppe Stalker and Night Stalker, who benefited from the Enrage ability given by my Archon, also of the Orc bloodline.
I am very pleased with how Steppe Stalker performed, its attack is solid, even if nothing extraordinary, but its Slow ability ensured that the opponent’s monsters attacked later, giving my team the advantage of striking first.
The weak point of Steppe is definitely the defensive stats, which do not make it a good candidate for the first position, even though it has the Close Range ability.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!
Negli ultimi mesi sto continuando a costruire ,con pazienza, la mia collezione di carte Conclave Arcana, andando a scegliere con attenzione quelle che realmente mi servono sul campo di battaglia, cosa che mi serve anche per essere più competitivo nelle Conflicts.
Dopo parecchio tempo passato a giocare e sperimentare con questa nuova edizione, ho maturato un bel po’ di esperienza che mi aiuta a capire meglio quali carte si adattano al mio stile e quali invece restano più marginali. La cosa interessante è che non mi sto limitando soltanto ad ampliare la collezione, ma sto anche investendo nel potenziamento di alcune carte, con un’attenzione particolare agli Archon, che trovo fondamentali per rendere le mie evocazioni sempre più efficaci e competitive. L’idea di portare in campo versioni potenziate delle mie carte preferite mi stimola a continuare a crescere e a pianificare con lungimiranza i prossimi passi.
C’è però un’altra tentazione che in questi giorni aleggia sopra la mia testa: la nuova carta esclusiva Dar ‘GOTTEM’ Gearnut. Il suo costo di 1050 Vouchers, pari a circa 165 Hive, la rende per ora fuori dalla mia portata, almeno se acquistata direttamente tramite il canale ufficiale. Sul mercato delle carte, però, la stessa carta si trova già a un prezzo molto più abbordabile, attorno ai 21,38 $, una differenza davvero notevole. Questo mi porta a riflettere se approfittare subito dell’occasione o se invece attendere ancora un po’, nella speranza che il prezzo cali ulteriormente. Per ora la decisione resta in sospeso, ma la tentazione è forte.
Ma vediamo , nello Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, una carta CA più umile, ma che può servire molto lo stesso !

Steppe Stalker: carta comune dell'elemento Water, delle Bloodline Orc, al costo di 7 mana, al primo livello offre 2 di Ranged e Speed, 1 di Armor e 4 di Health, e l'abilità Close Range, che lo rende utilizzabile anche in posizione Tank.
AL livello 3 ottiene anche l'abilità Slow, che conosciamo bene noi giocatori più attempati perchè era una caratteristica speciale della carta Creeping Ooze, molto in voga anni fa.
Al livello 5 ottine la nuova abilità Painforge, e all'ultimo livello si prende Shield.
È una carta super economica, con un prezzo che oscilla tra i 0,03 $, ma che secondo me può avere tanto da offrire.

Questa è stata una sfida tra 2 squadre dell'elemento Water, senza rulesets, e con un Mana Cap medio basso di 33 che ci ha consentito, comunque, di schierare delle buone carte.
Dopo aver scelto il nuovo archon CA di nome Gorgug The Endless, ho finalmente potuto provare il mio Zargrul formato oro in posizione tank, seguito da Warwall Juggernaut, Steppe Stalker, Night Stalker, Elanor Bravefoot, e, per finire, Halfling Refugee.
Il mio avversario, invece, ha selezionato l'archon Marlai Singariel, mettendo il fortissimo Commander Slade in prima posizione , seguito da Chaos Adjutant, Shock Trooper e Chaos Battle Mage.

Il mio avversario ha pensato bene di sfruttare il +1 in Magic donato dal suo archon, per formare una squadra dall'altissimo potenziale di attacco, con il suo Shock Trooper che è arrivato ad ,addirittura, 5 di attacco Magic.
Ma io non sono certo stato a guardare, infatti, sfruttando il sistema della Bloodline, ho schierato una vera e propria formazione Orc, con 3 mostri in campo, ovvero Zargrul, Steppe Stalker e Night Stalker, che hanno potuto usufruire dell'abilità Enrage donata dal mio Archon, anch'esso della bloodline Orc.
Sono molto contento di come si è comportato Steppe Stalker, il suo attacco è molto solido, anche se nulla di eccezionale, ma la sua abilità Slow ha fatto in modo che i mostri avversari attaccassero dopo, dando il vantaggio alla mia squadra di poter sferrare i primo colpi.
Il punto debole di Steppe, è sicuramente le stats difensive, che non lo rendono affatto un buon candidato per finire in prima posizione, anche se è dotato dell'abilità Close Range.
