As christians, it is our obligation to help those around us. Spiritually speaking, we have financial obligations to people who are in need of our help. Our Lord Jesus Christ teaches us to always help those in need of our help, we should not turn them away.
Physically, we do not have financial obligations towards people in need but spiritually, we are obligated to help such people. This means that our Lord Jesus have commanded us to do so, and that we must always do. We are bound by the law to give those in need and to lend to those that want to borrow from us, and of course it does not apply to only those we love, but also to everyone including our enemies. The bible teaches us to be good to everyone including those who hate us for our reward is in heaven.
As believers, we must not lend money at interest for it's against the will of God. In the book of Psalms chapter 15:1-5 we see that whoever wants to abide in God's tenth must live uprightly, work in righteousness, speak the truth always and must not lend money at interest and accept no bribes against the innocent.
So as christians let's always help people around us for the Lord command us to do so and it's part of the good works which he has already ordained that we should walk in them in order to live eternal life with him in heaven.
