A Christian in particular must always be knowledgeable of his future. The bible is not only a doctrinal book, but a book of prophecy about the future. Prophetic pronouncements are made by the Lord in the holy bible so that we may believe when it is fulfilled. Everything that will happen in the future are revealed in the bible, and this will make us to have an idea of what is going to happen when the time comes. We Don't just live and expect anything or nothing to happen, we have the power to know and shape our future through God's help.
The book of proverbs 16:9: reminds us that it's our heart that plan our way but it's the Lord that directs our steps. As christians, we have the power to plan, devise, and to think of what we will be in the future, but without God directing our steps all those things will not be accomplished. In all we do, we have to put God first to be able to achieve our heart desires and read the bible always to be knowledgeable of what will happen in the future.
Ephesians 2:10: reminds us that we are God's workmanship created unto good works which he hath ordained that we walk in them. Therefore we must be certain of our future, our work and in all, we must be certain that we are doing God's will while living on earth.
