Happy Sunday brethren, It is another day to listen to God's word from his humble servant Bro Eli Soriano.
Heaven is a dwelling place of God, a place of eternal life free from sorrow, pain and death. It is a holy place where nothing defiled can enter. Therefore, for us to enter heaven, we must obey God's will and commandments.
Bro Eli in his teaching, explained that not everyone who calls themselves christians will enter the kingdom of God, but only those who truly do the will of God. Matthew 7:21
Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven.
God does not predestine anyone to either heaven or hell, instead he desires that everyone be saved. Going to heaven depends on one's decision to accept God and live in obedience to his commandments. Our manner of life on earth determines where we are going to after death. According to the scriptures, God has given humanity free will, and our choices and way of life determine our final destination. Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
The above bible passage is a reminder that for us to enter into the kingdom of God, we have to live our lives like children; a life of humility, obedience, faith, purity and righteousness. Heaven is a promise to those who obey God's will and live righteously.
