Ashflare.gld VS Emberlash.gld
Yesterday I posted the first battles in the Great Little Dragons community. @gldragon vs @emberfang.gld ... Except @dlmmqb brought it to my attention that @gwajnberg actually cheered on @emberlash.gld
Oops
In my defense I was very rushed in getting things written up. Looking after homestay students has eaten up much of my day. The fact that the students aren't allowed access to internet, devices, or television makes things ... challenging.
@dlmmqb mentioned that he was hoping that @ashflare.gld got his cheer although he was waiting to see how things worked out and what people are cheering for.
Who are you cheering for?
Well, there will be a total of 10 Dragons fighting. Each dragon will be backed by different types of actions. Example: @ashflare.gld is powered by the PAKX and @codbane.gld is getting its backing by voting on the OCDB curation trail.
Each dragon will have different stats, strengths, and weaknesses. As an example here is the newly crafted @codbane.gld dragon.
Now going forward much of the information on this page is hidden and the dragon will be displayed as such.
The two show very different information.
The dragon Genome
@codbane EEE◕●◖◝◝◥◙◙◥◥◨◜◔◊◔◛◥◣◇◕◊◡◥◬◪◝◇◗◠◤◀◜◘◙◧◡◣◇
Things are mostly done behind the scenes. All the genome tells the user is that @codbane.gld is an EEE (Earth, Earth, Earth) dragon. Or as the Public view says : An earth specialist. The public view also tells how its stats look so it can be compared to other dragons. As you can see its stats are mostly good (60s) with an exceptional Fortitude (76)
The actual Prototype generator lets me take the genome and look a little deeper.
Taking affinity modifiers into account its lowest stat is 43 which is pretty poor. Its highest initial stat is a whopping 93 (100 max initial) which is brutally hard to get (I know the math used and 93 is kind of shockingly high).
However, the true power of a dragon is in how well it might be trained. Training mechanics haven't been released yet (my training program is horribly bug ridden right now). However, I can tell you that properly trained @codbane.gld has a very high potential. Both in the max stat of 189 and total stat points possible at 2907.
Sure its initial is a bit lower at 1199 but Specialist dragons that only have one strength (Earth) tend to start lower and grow higher.
Also: every time the dragon levels up the genome changes. It could become stronger or weaker in potential. In addition to that I've set it up so that dragons can be paired to make even stronger dragons in the future. The strength of the genome determines the strength of the offspring.
MIN, MAX and MODIFIERS
As you can see in the public screen there are six stats. However, behind the scenes? Modifiers like how much CHEER they got in a week, what biome they are fighting in, the strengths of who they are fighting against all come into effect when the dragon goes into battle. Right now cheering only works for tiebreakers during individual rounds in a battle. I am expecting to add CHEER points into the dragon training regimen which will affect how quickly and how high the stats can go over time.
Training.
Each dragon will have its own training arc. There will be a number of different choices that can be made to affect how the dragon fights and grows.
Its type : Earth specialist for codbane.gld, Fire/Air for @ashflare.gld, Earth/Air for @stonegale.gld, Fire/Earth for @emberfang etc.
Training Biome : Earth, Fire, Air.... or a mix
Food type : Carnivore, Flexitarian, Vegetarian
Training location : Battlefield, Dojo, Library
Fighting style : Aggressive, Reactive, Defensive
Fighting weapon : Breath weapon, Tooth & Claw, Wings
Activity level : Athletic, Active, Sedentary
... and more. Will determine how the dragon develops and how fast they develop over time. Returns from investments will also have a huge impact.
End result: A dragon that gets lots of returns but is poorly trained might not be awesome. Or perhaps a dragon levels up quickly but has a smaller peak. Others may take forever to level up but get much stronger in the end.
But it is all still a work in progress!

Another battle
Today's battle will between @emberlash.gld and @ashflare.gld
You can check the genome if you like, just look at the roster list.
The initial biome that was selected was Fire, Fire, Air.
Now both ashflare and emberlash are fire and air dragons. However, ashflare is Fire/Air (FFA) while emberlash is Air/Fire (AAF). That gives emberlash the advantage.
If you look closely you will also notice that there is a SEED. If you take the same two dragons and same seed you will get the same result : every single time! I'll post the seed in advance and the biome in advance. Then people can cheer and the results will be verifiable every single time.
In this biome with that seeds? @emberlash.gld takes the match 3/3. @ashflare.gld got destroyed.
But
Change the biome to Fire, Fire, Earth?
Ashflare takes it best 2/3
or in a slightly different FFE biome?
Ashflare rips emberlash apart
A lot going on under the hood.
I'll write a bit more about how I'm going to change up how the dragons are powered up. I'll like change up how the accounts are structured to allow me easier battling with bots. However, those changes I'll talk about in an upcoming post.
For now:
Just know that there are things going on under the hood.
And to @dlmmqb I'll send along 25 GLD for your support and messages. I really do appreciate it. Next time though? Send along some cheer (SPORTS tokens) to @ashflare.gld ... it might make a difference ;)
