Hello dear creative friends on hive, wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead.
I know not so many people are excited about Monday, and I am one of the few people who do. I mean, why not? Especially when I have a needleworkmonday to look forward to. And today, as expected, I've got a beautiful sewing creation to share with you, an off-the-shoulder dress for a friend for her brother's wedding.
She reached out to me wanting me to make her a dress with the style inspiration image sent, I know I could recreate it, the problem was the limited time we had, as it was just a few days to the day of the occasion. It was so relieving when I finished a few hours before the wedding, and at first fit, it was perfect, making all the effort put into making this dress worthwhile.
**materials used**
* Beaded lace fabric
* Crepe fabric
* Beads
* Boning
* bra cups
* Satin lining
**Cutting And Sewing Process**
* I started by drafting the upper side of the dress using a bustier patter and a asic off the dhoulder pattern for the back
* Next, I joined the pattern pieces together after interfacing the wrong side for more durability
* I also repeated the same process on the satin lining fabric, sewed in bonings and and sewd in breast cups to the bust area
* Then I turned the main with its lining part. and hemmed the base of the blouse.
* For the lower part of the dress, I cut out a straight skirt pattern using the beaded lace fabric
* Joined the sides and sewed a zipper to the upper part
* Finally, I joined the upper and lower part of the dress together, beaded the chest area of the dress,also sewed a complimenting colur tulle sleeve to both srm side of the dress.
You can see how stunning it turned out, seeing expected results kiimagine makes me very happy, also seeing the satisfactory look on my friend's face, glad I didn't disappoint her, because at some stage I became scared myself, lok
