Gone are the days when people were passionate about a field and eventually ended up in that field of work, and also, it generating enough income to sustain the burning passion, rathe, it is common to find so many people unhappy with their jobs but have no choice than to remain there, since it can at least settle their bills in the mean time, hoping one day they could gather enough and live the life they dsire, and others totally lost the hope in such dream and would rather face their current reality, for so many valid reason.

Living in a country like mine for instance, there are so many things that can go wrong and hinder you from pursuing your passion, starting with a failed government, lack of the necessary facilities to encourage your passion, and most importantly, the lack of support or funds. I recently witnessed a scenerio where a little girl was asked wht she wanted to be when she grows up, you could see the glow in her eyes as she answered the question confidently, " I want to be a teacher" she said, but you wouldn't expect or maybe expect the reactio that followe next, "God forbid", her mum responded immediately, it's doctor you would become, not teacher, teacher too suffer.

Ofcourse, the mum will not stop here, and would definitely push hr daughter to become what she wishes and not what her daughter wants, although this act is from a place of care, as he has incited earlier, teaching is a noble and one of the most important profession in the society, as they help raise th future generation, but sadly they are not paidor rewarded equally with the work they do,they are one of the most less paid workers.

Now, this child might not be passionate about the medical field like she is about teaching, but has no choice but to do what her mum desires for her, after all, her mum knows what is best for her. But not being passionate about your job and only doing it for the money sake can have a serious effect on the person and the services they render.

This is the reason why we see very rude and unhappy personalities at their place of work, some others putting money first before life. So what are the possible solutions to get people to have a balance between work, passion, and income?

Firstly, our government needs to do better and make the cost of living bearable for the masses, so its citizens aren't forced to be where their heart is not. There should be easy access to funding, mentorship, and resources provided to help people easily follow and build their passion.

Also, I guess it's time we start to redefine what success means to us, by placing a greater emphasis on our personal fulfillment, creativity, and happiness, instead of profit always. Maybe only then can we have a society that values passion over profit. It is high time our society recognizes the value of working at something you are passionate about, because the result you bring will always be superb compared to being at where you are forced to, at the end of the day, the society benefits more.
