Happy start of the new week, dear friends on Hive. I hope we all had a lovely weekend, as we look forward to yet another exciting week. ![img_1755519348537.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/23x1HpwXHd9wnupjXJGfYS9nH9aHwo9dXa8nPchKhdx4pJDLgVhRrXSHJZWM9NjXvvC6m.jpg) On today's needlework post, I will be sharing with you how I made a beautiful dress for an adorable ogirlsr-old girl. A friend's daughter, if you follow my needlework post, by now you already know how I enjoy making little girl's' dresses; ![IMG_20250817_115406_531.jpg](https://files.peakfavoritele/peakd-hive/glorydee/23wgMvJPfTsx6UvRNwLJ2RZE4fjBQ8VF4TR5hQ2WqJJGMEdHZQnJnKzNDZT45XMHS8Cd8.jpg) It's one of my faavrite things to sew. ![img_1755519348537.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/23.jpg) As it it gives me the chance to get creative the way I like, it doesn't consume much fabric most of the time, and it also takes less time to make. And whenever I have leftovers from previous sewing projects, they most likely end up being used to make pretty little girls' dresses, just like this. ![IMG_20250817_115425_310.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EpnDF6YLQGAm2JoUqWMRK7GQ3982eRgKxU7uJiXH7iGWVhtbF6zXsmhEKqXUoiV4iDF.jpg) Here, I made a gathered two-step dress with puffy sleeves Materials used in making the dress are; * Ankara fabric * Gold-colored trimmings * matching coloured thread. **Cutting And Sewing Process**![IMG_20250815_103843_772.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/23xefWdJSHaADJjKwMPK5sCFmqyPJxo9VknaKPSeSjxFFYYvSRiZRQnBAmEkSc594uGrr.jpg) ![IMG_20250815_103906_447.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EouA52Kgh2K4ojmgTGFr8jNM1jhywbQxksCZxDjpsVyrzzRgUEcXdxEn4DZnDKhFKVK.jpg) * First, I cut out the upper front and back side of the dress, the front was cut on fold having one piece, while the back has two pattern pieces. I replicated the same pattern on the satin lining pieces as well. ![IMG_20250815_105609_741.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/243fxh254gVjAzT4h4MJL9xRaEwz1vzuoUJXPk52CrwxpmtdiuzMNGwH8Unbf3drwadqa.jpg) * Next, I joined the front and back by the shoulder area ![IMG_20250815_134334_233.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EpT69H1Wykj8TFbjCKZLNPA1b9ZVYQbVsNSMeCEVKWAC9LRvWUx289QjVFZqxvjdrdx.jpg) * Then turned the upper side with the lining fabric neatly in. ![IMG_20250815_092544_252.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/23uFU4PzTXajgrmN1TVAU1hVYvaw9h3cxmeXMaaq76nDnzLmCv66yu8dJ1Hg2W2nsQRKh.jpg) * For the lower part of the dress, I cut out two flares, with the second flare doubling the length of the first. * I also cut out the inner flare using the lining fabric, then I gathered the hard net on it to give the dress more fullness. ![IMG_20250815_134712_538.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EpVDYVQV2agVDLuxqB7sFi4Hzqai5BhPnnQ11wy4m8dtBMSxJUTXQ5eooe1GFH1KTD1.jpg) * I gathered the two cut-out flares ![IMG_20250815_151908_831.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EpxsBnr8NFmqz9aBVMAjHy5od6dXUmBeRhXTgMc9j1SiWwXzAmiYF6yS4Dt9o2QfMch.jpg) * Then sewed them to the upper part of the dress ![IMG_20250815_151834_419.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/23wWyFtRLQzNKpNr1K6zD8pTy4oCDuTVi2r8jg7ynykjENsyiN4BHbGVnNtGwVq3XsELX.jpg) * I also sewed the lining to the upper lining part. ![IMG_20250815_103949_244.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EpT5gkRfC6sdu2eArTxaPdf6eZP7RdTaH9fu2DuQFqVBnZJ6gpXDzGkNijMydg9GLxD.jpg) * Then, I cut out the puffy sleeves pattern, sewed it to both armhole areas of the dress, ![IMG_20250817_115429_541.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EpLgSmCvtC5xm8nZ5xyowZZ9BDCkdtNCaQh3PmgfYRZD4X85ExVkyVsxvpKt68uyFnR.jpg) ![IMG_20250817_115421_192.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/glorydee/EpCALwrPK8NnfvUQJpi5CtfXTbqsefCxrYayHUr8D1GC1DaXXMnxTKTDSp54zYy7fa3.jpg) * Finally, I sewed the gold trimming on the hem of the lower flare, around the waist and neckline of the dress, finishing it up with a cute mini bow on the side. That completes the making process of this dress. **All images used in this post are mine** Thank you for reading.❤❤
