Happy New week, dear creative friends, wishing you all a wonderful week ahead.

There is that feeling of pure joy and confidence one feels when you put on a new dress, or any outfit at all, I even watched a reel recently that encouraged wearing new outfits every once in a while because it exudes positive energy in us and brings good luck, i don't know how valid this is, but one thing I know for sure is that wearing a new outfit makes us feel happy and confident. Being a seamstress myself, I've seen a lot of that satisfactory smile.

The only problem I have is not always having enough time to make my own dress, I always end up hurryng the making process of my clothes at dire minutes to the day of the occasion, but this time, I decided to create enough time for myself last week to make my Sunday outfit, i've always wanted an accordion skirt, but didn't know the perfect blouse to pair it with until I got inspired to make this blouse. I love my chosen style, because it is unique and stylish.

And yes, I felt confident and beautiful in this new outfit. So without further ado, let's get right into the making process.

Cutting And Sewing Process

- I started by drafting the pattern on paper, using a kimono bodice pattern. I also slit open the shoulder area to create extra allowance for the pleats made around the shoulder area.

- Next, I transferred the paper to the fabric. The front was cut on fold, while the back has two pattern pieces. I held the pleats using pins

- Continuing, I turned the necklines using a facing

-
I also joined the shoulder area
-
Then I joined the sides and also hemmed the sleeve opening.

- I wanted the base to have a slanted shape, so I cut out the shape and proceeded to hem around the blouse neatly.

- Finally, I sewed a zipper to the backside, and that completes the making process of my shoulder pleated blouse.

Beautiful, isn't it?
