I started 2025 with a new goal to become a copywriter as I came across a Facebook page about copywriting. I even took a 7-day challenge as a ninja copywriter but in order for me to know deeper about copywriting I have to enroll in a longer course that will take 14 weeks and the enrollment for this course is quite costly. Fast forward in this last quarter of 2025, I stumbled in a Facebook page about freelance blog writing. My interest in enhancing my writing skills once again ignite. After months of frustration, fate is leading me back to my passion in writing.

As a diligent student during high school, I became interested in writing long answers in the essay part of the exam to get higher points. It was like a lifehack during examinations and the essay part of the test became my favorite part. My higher order thinking skills were enhanced, the analytical, critical and logical thinking. My English vocabulary was widened and my grammatical skills improved somehow. When I went to college, my other classmates would ask for my assistance in composing their reaction papers, reflection papers, and even their term papers in which they appreciated so much and told me that I have a potential to become a book writer or author. It never crossed my mind to become a professional writer in the future because my dream job was to become a Japanese language interpreter as I graduated in a Japanese institution in high school and majored in Japanese language in college with a proficiency level but I started to consider it after hearing their feedback. I also had a habit of journal writing in which I write in dual language, English and Japanese. Although, my aspiration of becoming a Japanese language interpreter have not yet been realized, I became a TVET (Technical-Vocational Education Training) Trainer as foreign language instructor for Filipino students who aspired to work in Japan. Teaching basic Japanese language was fun too.

Teaching the Japanese language in 3 class schedules (morning, afternoon and evening) was tough but I enjoyed and had a lot of fun, it gives a rewarding feeling when your students passed the proficiency tests.

Why I joined Hive? I joined Hive because of the different communities which talks about things that I am so much interested such as travel, food and life that thrived. I want to become part of these communities and share every travel, every food and every life experience that I have. I would like to meet people from all walks of life in different parts of the world who will become my extended online family. As a family history research virtual student, I like reading life stories of real people as it gives inspiration and motivation to live your life to the fullest. I also love sharing stories as it creates connection and friendship. Writing is more than just a hobby to me, it is very therapeutic and for me it is a brain exercise as well.

I also like taking pictures of food, life experiences like adventures and travels so my photography and editing skills will be enhanced using this platform. Online journaling is something I like to do on a daily basis so writing a blog is the best way to do it. As a musician, I love to express myself so Hive is the best place to be.

As I was scrolling my newsfeed in Facebook and reading updates of hiring posts, this interesting Facebook page of Ma’am Antonette Langgamon popped up so I am onboarded by @antonette @chinito we meet through her page in Facebook and she oriented me on how Hive works. I am grateful for her guidance that my writing skills can now become useful in a professional way. I understand that I must use my own original pictures. I must also do quality engagement and post. I must not use AI in all posts and engagements and that plagiarism is not allowed in Hive. Photos are mine and edited using Canva.
