Yesterday was my second son's elementary school sports day.
The previous day, it rained heavily from the evening, and I thought it might be postponed... but by dawn, the rain had completely stopped, the field was in good condition, and the event went ahead as planned. I woke up at 6:30, prepared the "usual" bento, and headed to the school just after 9:00.The school my son attends is one of the larger elementary schools in the district, so there are many parents, and it’s always hard to get a good spot to watch the events or performances. But this time, I managed to position my camera right in front of the finish line during the sprint race, which was great (my son came in second!).
After getting home, around evening, I realized the house keys were missing from inside. I was sure I had put them in my jacket pocket... and since it was hot on the field, I took off my jacket and carried it... Could I have dropped them then?! Since it was on the field, there was no sound, so I might not have noticed. When we got home, I was with my husband, and I’m not sure who opened the door... but I think it was him.
Ugh, how much does it cost to change the locks? If I lost them at school, someone might have turned them in, so I’ll check with the school on Monday. But maybe I should report it to the police station first... While thinking about all this, I went to open the mailbox downstairs in the apartment (the dial-type one)—and there was the key case inside.
Oh, right! I had left the key in the mailbox for my elder son so he could get in after club activities!
I do remember thinking, “I need to leave the key for my son,” but I have no memory of opening the mailbox or putting the key inside... Of course, it must have been me, but that part of the memory is completely missing, and it made me feel a bit uneasy.
Am I okay in the head?! 😂

昨日は次男の小学校の運動会でした。
前の日が夕方から大雨で、延期になるかと思いきや・・・明け方にはすっかり止んで、運動場の状態も良く決行となりました。6時半に起きて「いつもの」お弁当を用意し、9時過ぎに小学校へ向かいました。
次男が通っているのは区内でも大きい小学校で、そのぶん保護者の数も多く、毎回なかなか良い場所で競技や演技を見ることができません。が、今回は短距離走の際、ちょうどゴール前でカメラを構えることができたので良かったです（次男は2着でした）。
帰宅後、夕方頃になって、室内に家の鍵がないことに気がつきました。確か、上着のポケットに入れてあったはず・・・そして、運動場では暑かったので上着を脱いで手に持っていて・・・もしかして、その時に落とした？！運動場だから音もせず、気づかなかったのかも。帰ってきた時は夫と一緒で、玄関を開けたのはどちらだったか・・・ハッキリ覚えてないけれど、夫のような気がします。
イヤだなー、鍵交換って幾らかかるんだろう。学校で落としたのなら誰かが届けてくれているだろうから、週明けに学校に確認してみようかな。その前に、交番に届け出たほうがいいだろうか・・・そんなことを考えながらマンション下の郵便受け（ダイヤル式）を開けに行ったところ、中にキーケースが入っているのを発見しました。
そっか、部活に行った長男が家に入れないと困るから、郵便受けに入れて行ったんだった😅
しかし、「長男のために鍵を置いていかなければ」と思ったことまでは覚えているのですが、郵便受けを開けた覚えも、中に鍵を入れた覚えもなく・・・もちろん、入れたのは私に違いないのですが、その部分の記憶だけスッポリ抜けているようで、なんだか不安になりました。
大丈夫か、私の頭？！
