I was back at my parents’ house until yesterday.
Since Nagoya is relatively close to my hometown, I went to the Nagoya Port Aquarium with my sons, my younger brother, nephew, and niece. I have memories of visiting here on a family trip when I was a child. I don’t remember much about the inside of the aquarium, but for some reason, the Urashima Taro mechanical clock left an impression on me, and I was hoping to see it again this time.
However, I didn’t have any time to spare at all… The heat was intense, and the aquarium was extremely crowded. Perhaps because it’s an old building, the elevators were small, making it incredibly difficult to move around with a stroller. My nephew and niece were crying and making a fuss…
My sons and I were exhausted, and far from seeing the mechanical clock, we only glanced at the exhibits before leaving early. My brother was also completely worn out and said, “I’m not coming back next year”😂
Still, we did manage to see some interesting things. What stood out were the “Diego Ufano’s Diving Suit” and the “Klingert’s Diving Suit.” They looked just like something aliens! Despite their eerie appearance, they seemed quite popular with visitors, and it looked like they were even selling stuffed toys and stationery of them. We couldn’t stop by the gift shop this time, so maybe next time 😉
