A Day in My Life Blog: A Blessed, Happy and Simple 89th Birthday Celebration of My Girlfriend's Grandmother! 😇😊🤗

**Have a Blessed Day to all ASEAN Hivers and all my Fellow Hivers all over the World!** 😇 The days was indeed very fast approaching because we are now in Ber Months, in which here in the Philippines as early as September we already celebrated Christmas. Now that the month of September is finally here, it is also the Month in which the Grandmother of my Girlfriend will happen and I thank God for I have been invited by the Mother of my Girlfriend to join them to go to the house where the celebration will be held. It is my joy to share the simple celebration we had for her Grandmother but before anything else, as what I always do, I will never forget to thanks to all my supporters here in the Community, thank you so much.  Just a few days ago, my Girlfriend informed me that her Grandma will be celebrating her Birthday and it will be held at the Barangay Mainit located iligan City, specifically at Setio Lungsod Gamay. I don't have any idea where the place it that is why, I am excited for I'll be visiting another place and this is where the other part of my Girlfriend's family, her Mother side is located, and finally meet them.   Finally, the day has come for the day of my Girlfriend's Grandma and we went to the exact place around 1:00 in the afternoon by a Bus, I didn't used my motorcycle this time. As we arrived the Bus Stop, it is now time for us to looked for something to ride on as we will be traveling for more than an hour using a motorcycle in which this is now their way of living, many motorcycle driver will be looking for passenger, and thankfully we found one. Together with me is my Girlfriend's Mother and her older Sister with two Kids, and on our way to the place we didn't exoected the roadway because it is rough road and rocky road but thank God for we arrived safely because the drivers here already know what to do, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures on our way here. As we arrived, what we did first is we went to the family of my Girlfriend like here Aunts and Cousins, so we can also encourage them and share a Word of God because it is one of the reason why we here, to share the goodness of God. Thank God for they listened to us.     We forget to buy a Birthday Cake for we expected that the place where we are doing is near to the Market but unfortunately it is not for it takes more or less an hour to travel and at the same time, the road is not that so good. But thanks God, my Girlfriend's older Sister find some idea so we can make a Cake. She bought some Fudgee Bar and Condensed Milk with Milo, and here, we have made a DIY Birthday Cake for our Birthday Celebrant.     After a while, we then started our Birthday Celebration and it is very simple. We gather first and share some wishes and declaration for our Grandma in which she turned 89 years old today. It is indeed a blessing from God for her to reached that age. At this moment also, I was asked by my Girlfriend's Mother to be assigned for the sharing of God's Word, and it is my privilege to share to them even though only few of us where here. Glory and honor to God for they listened to me and most especially to the Word of God which they accpected. We then offer a prayer for the Birthday Celebrant as she finally turned 89 years old today. My Girlfriend's Grandma still identify her daughter and when we asked her, she was very thankful to God for we came here to celebrate her Birthday.     It now time for our early dinner for that was around 5:45 when we finish our simple and short program for the Birthday Celebrant. We prepare the foods we have in this celebration, even though it is simple, the most important is we celebrate her Birthday. What we have prepared is a Native Chicken Soup and some Pancit and most especially the DIY Birthday Cake that my Girlfriend's older Sister made. We still feel the fun and happiness on this simple celebration because God is always with us.    At night, we have also gathered before we go to sleep to talk something about life and I thank God for I'll be able to talk to them even though it is my first time to meet all of them. While all of us were talking, our snack will be this root crop namely *'Gabi'*. It looks like potato or sweet potato but it is color violet and it is not that so sweet unlike sweet potato. It was around 10:00 in the evening when I decided to go to sleep.
