Hello dear friends, I live and work in Belgrade, but I was born in Loznica, a city with the most beautiful surroundings. My colleague Jovana, who has been working with me for 12 years, wanted to come and visit my hometown, listening to my daily stories about the beauty of Western Serbia. She came with her sister and sister's daughter Vera, who is 4 years old. Yesterday we spent the whole day together, and I was their real guide. We went first to the Ethno Village of Sunčana Reka, to see the Drina, a place where many series and movies were filmed. Vera enjoyed riding horses, feeding donkeys and throwing pebbles into the Drina. Due to the great heat and long-term drought, because it did not rain for more than 40 days, the Drina receded, decreased, but it is still, for me, the most beautiful river.
After enjoying ourselves and taking a break for coffee and juice, we went to Gučevo, a mountain that is about 800 meters above sea level and is located above Banja Koviljača. We enjoyed the panoramic view of the entire city of Loznica and its surroundings, the Drina and across the Drina to Bosnia and Herzegovina. A monument to the brave fighters in the First World War was erected on Gučevo.
At the end of our all-day socializing, we stopped at Banja Koviljač, walked through the park and stopped at a restaurant for lunch. A wonderful day spent. We enjoyed the beautiful nature, and I especially enjoyed it with little Vera, who didn't leave me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and look at the photos of my hometown! Greetings from the heart!
