My family, which consists of my husband, son and I, love nature and we love to travel a lot. Since all three of us like to travel, we agree on the route of our trip every year. It always pretty much boils down to the same thing. We will go to the sea in Montenegro, and we will already choose the way to get there. Who travels from Serbia to the Montenegrin coast, on average it takes 6 to 8 hours to travel. In our country, it lasts much longer. We always start from Loznica, my hometown, and go through Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose border with Loznica is my river Drina. I will now present you a route that has remained in our beautiful memories, because we managed to get to the famous Rafting on the Tara, Rafting on the Drina, to see the canyon of the Piva River and the Tara River, from which the Drina River originates. We slept in bungalows not far from Scepan polje, where these two rivers meet and where my childhood river, on which I grew up, originates. It only took me a 10 minute bike ride as a teenager to get to my river.

We traveled and rested wherever we saw beautiful nature, and believe me, there is a lot of it!
The first major rest was at the Piva river canyon. Beer is in Montenegro, so we crossed the border several times during the day.

The terrain is a little inaccessible, but those who like extreme sports have set up a zipline across the canyon. We enjoyed the view but didn't dare to be extreme athletes.
It takes about half an hour's drive from the Piva canyon to the confluence with the Tara river. We were supposed to cross into Bosnia and Herzegovina again, because the Drina originates there, but we decided to continue through Montenegro, to reach the canyon of the Tara River and then to continue the journey to the mouth.
Believe me, we have not repented. We saw a beautiful canyon, had lunch at a motel right next to the bridge, and found out that rafting on the Tara.

We spent the night in one of these houses, and the visitors started their tour around 10 o'clock in the morning. Tara is considered, next to the Drina, to be one of the coldest and cleanest waters, but that did not bother brave people. They bathed in Tara as if they were fish.
We continued our journey to the sea, and on the way back we knew that there would also be rafting on Drina, so we fit in just in time. For 12 days we were at the sea, in Herceg Novi, and as I already said on the way back, we wanted to see where the Drina originates, what it is like at its origin, and to see off some rafting on that beautiful river.

We returned after the rest and reached the famous confluence of two rivers into one. Piva and Tara made the Drina. The Drina is slightly more than 300 kilometers long. It's not that I grew up next to that river, but it's really one of the most beautiful.
A view from above of the confluence of Piva and Tara, and then you will see the river Drina.

U we slept in these bungalows. In the morning, we drank coffee next to the coast and waited for rafting on the Drina to begin.

Thank you for your attention. I hope you liked my post.
