On Monday my #1 intern was coming at 1PM so I spent the morning getting laundry done, filling out an application, getting my post up, and a few chores. It was a warm day even though it was raining during the morning.

Just before 1PM I got a call. It was the tech to come out and look at the solar panel system. He was wondering what my address was. He said he was on my street by the driveway. I said, there’s 2 people walking a dog right past my driveway right now. He couldn’t see them.

Well, there was a really good reason he couldn’t see them. He was in Encino, California!! They’d sent him there and he was from California! Talk about a royal mess! Of course, I could not reach anyone at Sunrun. I gave up when my #1 intern arrived at 1PM.

I finished getting ready and we went off to do a few errands. When we got back we got the clothes changed out by 2:15PM.

The next job was to clean out the freezer in the clean room fridge and transfer the elderberries from the huge steel bowl to smaller ceramic ones to keep them frozen. Then we proceeded to pick out the little stems as best we could.

We got a quart filled and in the freezer before many thawed.

We worked until 5:15PM and got half of them done.

That gave us the best part of 3 quarts and we still have 2 bowls to do. That will have to be another rainy day, perhaps on Wednesday morning.

It had started raining again when she left at 5:30PM. I’d never heard from SunRun, no surprise.

On Tuesday I will try to reach the tech companies if I have time before my helper friend arrives at 9:30AM. He has errands to run. I also need to clean up the kitchen and finish putting away the laundry. My #1 intern will be back out at 10AM and we are going to try to finish mulching the garlic and that area. I only have 6 bales left in the driveway, so we may not be able to finish it. I will call the mulch hay guy to bring 40 more bales for the driveway.

If not, we can start cleaning out other areas in the garden, the tomato area would probably be next.

That should pretty much finish me off.
