On Monday morning I was doing pretty well. I had 2 posts to get up and lots of photos to edit. I hadn’t gotten up until 7AM, as I had been so tired from the long lima bean ordeal.
I got the kitchen cleaned up and puttered around doing odd jobs. I also got the lima beans processed and into the freezer.
I think this is the most lima beans I’ve ever done, 6 pints for the freezer. And there are lots more still out there if they ripen in time.
The yard really didn’t need mowed, but I have to keep it short and the leaves have started to come down. I need to stay ahead of them so it’s not such a hard job to mow. It took me 3 hours to do the yard and at the barn. I started at noon and finished at 3PM.
When I was cleaning up the yard to mow, I found this great big magnolia seed head with the fruit still on. Odd looking thing, for sure.
There’s a tree on the driveway and some years it turns a brilliant yellow, but not this year. It’s lost a lot of leaves already.
I’d gone up to get the mail and took my camera in case I saw something. The sky was so pretty over the house and front pasture. The front pasture has come back well since being mowed. I sure wish I had cows on these pastures.
Once the mowing was done, I got a shower and just sat and rested for a while. Then I made supper and finished My Fair Lady. I was in bed at 7:30PM.
On Tuesday my helper friend will be here and we have to feed the house plants, clean up the squash and lay them out to cure, and I need to plant those 3 goldy mums. I also have to get laundry started. I should make the tomatoes into the FODMAP diet sauce for Tom’s daughters too. I hope to start the bills before he gets here.
So another busy day.
