Warm cloudy morning
On Sunday morning I didn’t get up until 6AM and worked on getting my post up. I got the kitchen cleaned up and a few other chores and finally headed out to pick up sticks so I could mow about 9:45AM.

It was windy so hard to mow up leaves and I didn’t finish until 12:30PM. I sat down to rest for a while and my friend called and was determined to go to the concert. So I got up and got a shower and ready to go for 2PM.

It was a nice day, cloudy but warm, in the 70’sF. We were able to park near the church where the concert was.

The church still has the box pews that helped keep drafts off before the church was heated. It was built in the mid 1800’s. The cellist was on a small stage between the first pews.

These 2 had played at the church about 10 years ago. When the concert ended some children brought them each 2 bouquets of flowers. It was quite nice.

I had gotten a photo of another of the decorative squashes and decided to see what kind it was. Then I wanted to know what the yellow one was.

We had taken the scenic route home as my friend wanted to see what was left of the autumn color. I arrived back much later than planned and found the contractor had finished prepping the right side of the porch for painting.

I hurried to the Big garden to harvest greens for supper and got it made. It was nearly 7PM before I could sit down. It hadn’t started to rain when I went to bed but was supposed to and rain off and on all day Monday.
On Monday I have to get the laundry done early as my #1 intern is coming to help change clothes over, run errands, and finally process the elderberries that have been in the freezer for weeks.
